@Kabar6HD in case of vampire you need to raid a vampire cave , chances that you will recieve the "sanguinus vampiris" desease, and your on your way to being a vampire.. in werewolf you need to join the companions

I tried this same thing as a werewolf and I got fucked up right as I ran in

So basically werewolves are better. HOWEVER don't forget that at stage 4 the Vampire gets a spell taht makes them invinsible (unable to take damage) for a certain amount of time. With taht spell activated a Vampire is better than a werewolf. But overall werewolves are still better

They completely fucked up vampires in Skyrim. They are missing out:

- super speed

- super strength

- neck snap or bite to the neck as a finishing move

- super jumps

- mind compulsion

Lets hope the next Elder Scroll title fosters vampires like this and allow the players to become as such too!

vampires suck ass in Skyrim, seriously they aren't any stronger than a normal human, it truly does feel like a curse to play as one. While werewolves are total badasses. To balance them a lvl 4 vampire should be as strong as a werewolf then I'll consider playing as one but right now lol no suck ass vampires for me.

I've played the game twice now and I'm a vampire in my third playthrough and and honesty it's kinda hard but it's mention to be a challenge and I'm finding it really fun, also I'm a dark elf and they get 50% resistance to fire any way so dragons are no trouble as long as you keep feeding :)

@iBuggiee You know, you can easily cure yourself if you dont want to be a vampire. You can join the companions, or you can bring a black soul gem to a guy dont remember where exactly but its part of a quest. Just ask the Ins keeper about any rumors and you will get the quest

I can kill werewolves with my vampire just as easily, werewolves are good the first 15 lvl, but beacause they dont level up they beacome so weak espacially when you play at master difficulty. If Skyrim had online, you're werewolf would get raped against any vampire lvl 20 and up.

@SH0WTIME09 werewolves do level up. Defence depends on light armour skill, attack on one-handed. You just don't gail skill points in beast form. So if you're a werewolf and you use light armour and one-handed weapons a lot, you'll be just fine and if you're stuck, you can use bloodlust roar to get out of a sticky situation.

Plus, AI enemies usually suck. I found out when fighting a werewolf myself.

They're both pathetic on their own as enemies.

@666spiritofhell666 Thanks i didn't know that about the defence. But im lvl 50 right now and when i use roar it doesn't work anymore, people dont get scared. Dont know if its beacause im playing master, or its beacause my lvl is to high.

1. You can become werewolf when u want to

2. You don't have to kill people at all vampire in stage 4 has to or ppl will kill him

3. Werewolf is much stronger in health and stamina

4. You can become werewolf during the night and day if you become vampire during day you will be weaker

I was disappointed by vampires in Skyrim. They receive less bonuses than werewolves and give you actually harder time to survive than when you are a werewolf. However, I do agree with TheEliasRav that at higher levels werewolves also become weaker than your standard human (khajiit, mer, etc) self. In the very same scene my level 50 werewolf was massacred by Morvath, but when I confronted him as human he was no longer so challenging.

Weakness to Fire - Your vampiric blood causes you to be weaker to fire. Fire spells can packs a punch.Vampric drain is useless against mobs with high hp and requires mp.Weakness to Sunlight - Health, Magicka, and Stamina are reduced by 15,30,45 or 60 points depending on stage.

Stage 1-25% weaker to fire

Stage 2-50% weaker to fire

@AdmiralGigglesnort If you base it off just numbers, with no biased then it heavily favors werewolves. Once they get their unlimited transformations per day, the increase in speed/damage is pretty high. It also might be a bug but their scaling goes really higher also. That is without the totems they get giving them one of what only 3 items in the game that give detect life?

@tenetke When I say scaling also note that I don't mean just the damage, but that the werewolf attacks have that increased damage + the bonuses from some one handed weapon skills. Then the bonuses to armor, and the light armor tree bonuses. The ability to ignore being over encumbered, not having to worry about feeding etc. Werewolf just gives so many bonuses, and vampire doesn't unless you go without feeding. Then you run the risk of turning people hostile.

@tenetke meh, also forgot to mention that werewolves have a high chance of insta killing enemies. They can also trigger the insta kill that will work on most (not all) human sized creatures, and some that are larger. Also don't forget that werewolves keep any magic effects on them after they shift, even if they lose their racials.

(I role play a lot) also when ever there is a movie about werewolves and vampires werewolves always win.
