Do you know a good tutorial on making platformer games? i ahve been trying really hard lately but cant seen to code one myself, and neither can i find any tutorials on the net or frameworks
youtube user 'amcadam26' has a decent platformer tutorial for Blitz3D (the principles being pretty standard for any Basic language) - it doesn't cover everything but it's a good start I think. He also builds up to the platformer tutorial with some simpler stuff, so that's great.
I'm only comparing it to Blitz3D as that's the only other blitz product i've tested, and this is amazingly faster than Blitz3D. Blitz3D was slowing down just with the level tiles display, nevermind the particles, enemies and stuff. Vast improvement.
I know, I just downloaded the demo, Blitzmax is a massive improvement over blitzplus! I can have 10000 cubes floating around, rotating and being transparrent all at the same time!

Is your computer a beast or has blitzmax improved the 2D handling functions massively?!?!
