  • Boring....

  • He;s happy..

  • hey nice tank i have a bichir and was wondering how big is yours and what can i feed mine to make it grow biggerr??

  • he looks great, nice work 5/5

  • yeah Their both happy now. I do enjoy watching this video. Thanks for putting it up.

  • wow very cool and NICE tank set up!

  • Yeah the tank is specially set-up to fit maximum caves in the bottom for the bottom dwellers and plants grow both on the wood and in the small space between the peices of wood and form angel-safe caves (angels often dart around and scratch themselves)

    Anyways thanks for the comment!

  • he's so healthy, I never knew they could eat scallops. is it raw?

  • no its flombayed in balsamic vinegar and then tenderised with a mallet

  • He sure is healthy! He eats EVERYTHING! I never cook meat that I feed my fish and I avoid feeding anything that has parasites.

I think it's safe to assume any bichir that eats dead food will eat raw scallops however my bichir even eats algae wafers and hikari pellets. My tiretrack eel loves scallops and shrimp also! My Fire eel however does NOT. So it's just personal taste I guess...

Both the spiny eel and bichir have gotten fatter on this diet!

  • WOW! The scallops must be doing him good since he gained weight from it. Keep up the good work. I missed our Bichir...he's albino too, but, he was in a tank with our arowana and it was getting really creepy with the growth spurt of the arowana, so we had our Bichir adopted by our aunt.

  • Ya arowana's are hard to trust. Bichirs and elongated fish are rarely found attractive to most predators (as opposed to plump goldfish) but it's a good idea to have the fish adopted when you CAN.

  • Sweet is that a fire eel?

  • The one in this video is a tire track eel. I'll have more videos of this tank so you can see the spiny eels eating and the black ghost. The eels love worms from the garden.
