jeez hold it, that's my friend, she's just explaining what's up. I did it true spin and landed on the wrong side, no big deal, next time i'll land on the right, don't be rude though
no i skate with my left foot, I do them like acids too. it doesnt matter which foot you use just the spin so you can do it with your left foot in front, no biggy, just spin away from the rail
Sheesh!!! You took a hard fall! You see your trick is x grind to ao x grind because you came of the left side of the rail. If you would have come off of the other side (right from this angle), it would be x grind to true x grind.
i thought it just mattered which way you turned, I landed on the right several times but I thought that was wrong so I deleted them! Dang! I gotta learn these things!
youre doing it truspin. it doesnt matter what side you come off of at the end, the only thing that matters is what side of the rail youre on when youre rolling up
It matters what side you are coming off because it's a rail. Look at her trick and imagine the box being on the right side of the rail. She's doing an x-grind to ao x-grind. If the box was on the left side of the rail, she's doing an x-grind to true x-grind, but she wouldn't have landed it because she would have landed on top on the box.
You are correct about true spin being away from the rail, but it matters what side you approach the rail from and what side you come off the rail. See my reply above. It's like saying a soul grind is the same as a top soul on a rail. It is basically the same but it matters what side you approach and what side you come off cause it's either a soul, a far side soul, or a top soul.
hahahahaha, NO. you are the only person to ever base tricks off of what side of the rail/box/obstacle someone comes off of while skating. and a soul and a topsoul arent the same thing because of what side you come off of. if the rail is on your left, and you do a right footed soul, its topside. if the rail is on the right and you do a right footed soul, its not topside. far side souls can only be done on ledges or shotgun rails
That's exactly my point...you wouldn't purposely do a far side on a rail because it's bad (nothing personally to you Cassandra) style. It DOES matter what side of the rail you come off of. The x-grind isn't a great example of this. Watch FrGGincOOlio's first trick and see my replies and I think you will finally understand. If you're going to call something true spin or top side, you better come off the correct side of a practice rail or right off the end for it to count in my book.
no, because someone can just do a tru mizou and come off the wrong side of a rail and you could call it a true kindgrind. picture those 2 tricks in your head and you will realize that tru mizou is far different than a tru kindgrind. it doesnt matter what side of the rail you come off of. thats like calling a front royale a back royale just because of what side of the rail you came off of
No...it's ao kind grind and true mizou that would be similar or ao mizou and true kind grind. And that would be terrible style if you did a royale and blatantly came off the other side. You would want to come off the same side of the rail or right off the end for it to look like a correct frontside royal.
kindgrind is already ao, so you dont have to put ao in front of it. but the whole royale example is just another way of explaining what youre saying. in order for something to be truspin, you have to spin away from the obstacle youre grinding, and thats what she did. it doesnt matter where you land at all.
Yes I know kind grind is already ao...AND I know the difference between ao and true spin. It's the whole practice rail thing that gets confusing for everyone. If these tricks were done on a box, there would be no dispute. Plus she would have to come off the right side of the coping if it was done on a box-thus making her trick correctly executed. I'm done with explaining this to you. Cassandra-when you come over, we will film it the correct way!
I see what your saying because she started her trick on the right side of the rail and she meant to do true spin...but the fact that she came off way on the left side of the rail shows that she didn't get the full rotation of the true spin and it's more like a far side trick.

Yeah, it doesn't matter what side of the rail you come off of, tru means spinning away from the rail.
It was a X grind to tru x grind

Watch the 2nd x-grind part again and tell me you truely believe that is true spin x-grind and not ao x-grind?
brandigr2 2 years ago
its still truspin x grind. just because she came off the other side doesnt change the grind.

she did the full rotation, it takes a 180 to do a x grind to tru x grind, and she did that.
