Atheism is not a belief, it is the disbelief of a god(s). Anyone could be considered an atheist anyone could think of a god that they do not believe in. As an atheist i would have to say that god exist but only in the mind of its believers. Religion as a hole is simply a delusion that has keep the human race from progressing.

I am a Christian. I do challenge my faith, all the time actually. I agree that to be strong in faith of a belief, you must challenge it. I have watched many Atheists' videos refuting Christianity. I have thought about the points they made for an hour, or two hours at times. I seem to always think of a good argument against their points. Almost 100% of the time I can refute these points, even if I have to go through much thought. I also watch many debates, so that helps me grow in faith too.
I don't give a shit about God, and I don't give a shit about your religion, in the end I view religion as simply a waste of time for me, I see no use in putting my faith into something that I cannot see/comprehend. But I understand why some people are religious and I respect their opinions and their beliefs, and I don't look at them any differently based on how they view God.

@mackattack7309 Err....no. Aitheism is NOT a religion. It's a definition of not believing in god(s). Aitheism itself is not an organized faith in the same sense as any of the religions we know. If you are an Aitheist, it only means that you don't believe in any god, not that you are part of such a community or anything else. It does not meet the requirements of being a religion.

Atheists argue God doesn't exist because the universe always existed started with the big bang, but that doesn't disprove the existence of a higher power because an infinitely existing universe can be divinely created just as easily as a universe with a finite past....btw, most theoretical physicists believe in a higher power.

I'm 16. I was born a Jehovah's Witness and try my best to stick with it. Recently i have been listening to the views of atheists and their reasoning for being one. It has got me thinking i must admit. I don't understand why we would have to pay for the sins of Satan. The bible says that unrighteousness was seen in Satan. although i personally have challenged my religion a lot in the past, western religions fundamentally deny that doubt can be part of faith. Trust in God even when He appears to be totally absent is the mark of true faith in most western religions. They do not try to examine faith intellectually, only spiritually. This is why we separate philosophy from Theology.

The reason people believe in god is because they just want a simple answer to everything. My cat died: it was god's intention. My aunt is out of the hospital: thank you god. There's no logical proof for him actually existing. And I think it's so ignorant when someone says, "Prove that he doesnt exist". I'm a christian and afew years ago I lookin' at my religion the same way. Why should I believe there is a God, but after certain events I do fully believe in him now. I can't honestly say there is a God, but I can honestly say I believe in one.

seriously, sleight of hand helps alot! with the small maps and weird spawn systems on cod4, it helps ALOT with FFA. i used it with the AK it is wayy better than stopping power.

it is a great game, ive only found like 2 people noobtubing in 1 month. every once in awhile you end up in a hacked lobby but you can leave those. nowadays there is MUCH less bullcrap in cod4 and its much funner for sniping than any other cod (in my opinion).

so.. we have an incomplete being and it needs a soul, we don't know what a soul is. we have theories, but we don't know what it is or how to make one. This is where religion comes in, it's a way for us to find our purpose and figure out what we are. Though some people don't use religion in this manner, that's what i believe religion is for. This is what i believe.

Well, Lets look at this from a natural view. Humans are Intelligent creatures composed of minerals. so, if we break down our composition and replicate it we could have a shell. But we have energy in us, yes? so, let's give this shell some energy. we now have a human, but our soul? ok, well... what is a soul? souls give us the power of love? no. thats just a reaction in the brain. But if we made this shell and gave it energy would it be human? No, it would be partial, an incomplete being.

I'm 16. I was born a Jehovah's Witness and try my best to stick with it. Recently i have been listening to the views of atheists and their reasoning for being one. It has got me thinking i must admit. I don't understand why we would have to pay for the sins of Satan. The bible says that unrighteousness was seen in Satan. Couldn't God have stopped him RIGHT then and there and spared us this wicked world? I'm not saying that there is no way that these things and the bible is not true or that God

is not real, i just have a hard time completely believing in it. Like i said i try my best to stick with my religion and follow it but i fear that if i don't find answers im looking for, i might drift farther away from it than i already have. I'm caught in the middle. Lots of the bible and the views of atheists make sense to me. Not knowing what to believe is a really hard thing to deal with for me. I do though firmly believe whether atheist or not, that the bible does teach good morals.....

it teaches not be drunkards(drinking isn;t wrong though) , hate violence, dont be puffed up with pride, be faithful in your marriage, dont steal, be honest, provide for your family, value life (don't smoke or kill animals unless for food), and above all to LOVE. Fight evil with love. It is not jealous, boastful, arrogant, rude, selfish, or angry. True love never fails. Which is something i firmly believe.

although i personally have challenged my religion a lot in the past, western religions fundamentally deny that doubt can be part of faith. Trust in God even when He appears to be totally absent is the mark of true faith in most western religions. They do not try to examine faith intellectually, only spiritually. This is why we separate philosophy from Theology.

The reason people believe in god is because they just want a simple answer to everything. My cat died: it was god's intention. My aunt is out of the hospital: thank you god. There's no logical proof for him actually existing. And I think it's so ignorant when someone says, "Prove that he doesnt exist". It's not like I can show them a picture and say this proves he doesnt exist. Prove unicorns don't exist, prove I can't fly. You can't.

One big thing you're missing is the fact that people that believe in god have faith in his word. Obviously there isn't proof that god made earth or god created man. But when you believe in god or "gods" you have that faith and mentality on which you trust..

Wow, i really respect the fact that you bring up this topic. It is hard to openly state that you are atheist, because all the stuck up Christians (Not saying ALL Christians are stuck up, just saying the ones that are) will completely isolate themselves from you because you state that you don't believe in this "Savior" God. There is no way to prove him, but i don't think that means you shouldn't believe in him. We Americans depict things the way we want them to be, the way that we feel it should

I don't see why we cant just all except each other for the way we are, whether it be in religion or say, "Sexual Preference" per se, and i think people are just so wrapped up in their little safe cages of "This is right, what you think is wrong" that they don't see the truth in anything, so thank you for this.
