  • i have no words, this song is mindblowing

  • again let the beirut spoke :))

  • ZC is equal parts Herb Alpert, Jon Anderson, and annoying hipster douche. What a combo!

  • I really like Beirut. but honestly, he is not a talented percusionist.

  • I love how there's just a girl sitting there reading XD

  • It's amazing!!! A very nice band...

  • 3 people don't like this music and I'm fine with that :)

  • brilliant, but the sound tech should put some condenser mics instead of record with the camera mic

  • All the song seem the same.

  • If i was not who i am,this man i would like to be.....

  • Violin player is a baaaaaaad assssssssssss.

  • Zach doesn't need many lyrics to make a masterpiece. He apparently doesn't even need a stage.

  • This song is SO INTENSE.

  • CLAP ON!!

  • The singer is always is getting the praise, ya know.

Let's here it for that Bass. He's a freakin' precision instrument.

  • I can't wait to see them live! July 22nd can't come sooner!

  • @CaptainLibro My birthdaaya

  • truly inspiring

  • I want more, more, more!! he is a classic before his time!

  • Someone please take beirut to play in my home like this!

  • I prefer this to the album version, the album version reminds me of the Peanut gang theme song.. and you can't go wrong with that bass.

  • lol @ that guys shirt, did anyone else notice that? "i listen to bands that don't even exist yet"

  • I would like to know why there are only 9732 views of this video. its amazing. I could watch it over and over.

  • The music of beirut gives to me life... Love them.!

  • love youu!

  • this my friends, is the future of brilliant music. Let MTV have its Soulja Boy and Green Day, we have something that would blow them out of the water!!!

zach condon is a musical inspiration and somewhat of a genius!

  • hey green day is great too :D

  • @Fillipinoskater I could't agree more my friend but, well, I love Greenday too (:

  • @Fillipinoskater SOMEWHAT of a genius???!!!! HE IS A GENIUS!! GNEHHH!!!!

  • poor watermelon..kkk

  • I love how cliche, yet awesome, the bass player looks.

  • This was the first Beirut song I heard about a year and a half ago (I Stumbled! it), and I immediately loved it, listened to more of their stuff, and bought TFCC, which I love to pieces, and saw them live in May of 2008. Every time I listen to this song, during the violin parts, I always picture two small birds (say, sparrows) swooping and weaving and diving and spiraling around each other. I wish I had the knowledge (and program) to make a video of that.

  • @MysticalChicken Yay for stumble and yay for Beirut, they are so good

  • AMAZING AWSOME i love beirut there songs r just awsome espesually the new ones from March Of the Zapotec

  • yeah eyah yeah yeah yeah!!! yeaaaaaah!!! brilliant! :)

  • and he's the one who's able to connect all those people ("we" only knew there were talented people as "payed hands" in recording studios or as faceless people in the streets/banlieus - until Beirut was founded).

  • I don't think it's messy, either.

It's rather - like (almost) all Beirut songs - cosmic: With all those different people and instruments involved - and an authentic, not constructed/cliched environmet around.

In my opinion Zach is someone like a genius: He's not the whole band alone, but he's the one "invent" such beautiful melodies as the keys or cores of the songs,

  • He is completely a genius!

  • Not messy, just bold. Well done.

  • omg the singer is cute xD

    love this song, :0

  • mmmm, it starts cool and clean, but in the end it's a bit messy. Sorry to say, but keep it cool like you put the athmosphere in the start.

  • uummmmm, you try to do better. Post it on youtube and I'll make sure and tell you how it could be better...toward the end.

sheesh...people can't you just appreciate good music?

Also, the drumming on the watermelon at the end WAS a little messy...
