I will buy a bass, but i don't know if i buy jazz or precision... (Can you help me?)
I will start play with more 3 friends in a "garage band".
I play guitar but now i wanna go to the bass.
I want a bass very different of a guitar sound. I will buy a fender squier set.
The songs than i like are from: Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Manowar, Red Hot Chilli Papers, Metallica, ACDC, Rage Again The Machine,
@Pedrogomesramalho I think the Precision / Jazz bass combination has the best of both worlds. Like every passive Fender basses the sound comes mainly from the hands, so prepare to put serious practise hours before it starts to sound good.
buy Duncan's QuarterPounder Jazz bridge pickup 'cause it's cheap, and if I don't like it I can still use it to replace my Fender Jazz Bass's pickup, but If I like it on the Fenix, I can buy the P-Bass pickup separately later.
The fenix whit a duncan sistem sounds realy great, yeaah, i probe a fender jazz bass and the fenix sounds better whit a duncan sistem, really great bass.
i thought this is a bass-porn...listen to the music and watch it from the beginning :D

@Pedrogomesramalho Precision basses have a bit of a punch to them while with a jazz bass, you get a wider variety of tone.

It's got nice woodwork, light resonant body, but
course the tuners, pots, and pickups are not so
good, but easy to upgrade. I'm also planning to
buy Duncan's QuarterPounder Jazz bridge pickup 'cause it's cheap, and if I don't like it I can still use it to replace my Fender Jazz Bass's pickup, but If I like it on the Fenix, I can buy the P-Bass pickup separately later.
I would sure like to hear, how your Fenix
sounds with the Duncan's so please post
something if u can (?) =_0
