I don't think so, but I played it that way. I think Edge changes to a dotted 8th note for the solo and slightly lower in the mix, but It doesn't make a huge difference.

Thank you! Good question. It took me time to get this. It takes a light touch. Practice simple harmonics on the 12th, 7th and 5th frets. Make sure you can play a "normal" harmonic first. Then touch the G string lightly and as you slide down pick up and down with the Herdim pick. You have to pick quickly so don't keep the pick perfectly perpendicular to the strings or it will get caught. You have to turn it at a slight angle and find the right touch of the pick.

You have to have just the right touch (not too light or it will buzz) and not to hard (or it will be too muted).
