It's supposed to have a close encounter with Earth sometime in 2029. If it does pass close enough to Earth's gravitational field, there's a very tiny slim chance for impact in 2036.

I love how it hit the third world, because it shows how the third world is just as likely (and just as "worthy") of a meteor hit as any other place on earth, including the oceans. I commend the movie Deep Impact that came out some years ago where the smaller of two pieces of an asteroid crashed into the ocean. But of course, it was right outside the coast of North America.

So the energy of collision sends a seismic wave. That wave also breaks the crust, which is the "fire" you see in the video. If an asteroid with radius of 50km and density of 3.5 metric tons per cubic meter collided Earth with velocity of 30000 m/s, the released energy would be 8.2*10^26 Joules. That breaks the crust.
