Once i was a little as a kid since i was five, i always see my father play this game alot. when i always heard that song, I dance to the beat every time when I interupt him in his free time.
Good thing that my father got this game in PC, and we also own Civ 3 as well.
Civ I was great in its day but Civ II was much better. However, the subsequent incarnations have become too complicated and too much about aesthetics than game play. Its easy to go through a whole game in civ iv without going to battle. Just aim for a cultural victory. Its a hollow victory though. No game satisfaction.

God, Civ 2 is so awesome. This song is my favorite in the game.

Wasn't that also the same song that was used in the first Civ to indicate an Aztec or Barbarian victory ?
It was around 1995/1996 that I played that game so my memory can be inaccurate.

It was the Aztec theme in the original Civ (and it featured in Colonisation as well)

The tune played by the pipes was also used in the opening for the Playstation port, and I think that it turned out somewhere in the Civ3.

Yes because I recognized that tune. It must have gone a long way then !

I think this tune is part of Montezuma's theme in Civ IV as well...

@KookyKoopa12 Montezuma's Civ IV theme is a heavily edited remix of this.
