@Hymimaru Gin never had a change of heart. He always had just one goal: Change things so that he and Rangiku were happy. He had no alliance with anybody but her. He's not for Soul Society, he's for himself and Rangiku. At some point along this mission of his, he saw Aizen as a way to help change things, and recently viewed him as the ultimate liability. He betrayal didn't end well, to say the least.
