Oh yeah, Periods are so annoying and I started when I was 13, but now I'm only 19 and my birthday is coming next month! :) I get cramps a lot but I think it's amazing how periods work for us girls. One time, I just had to go to the bathroom at the grocery store and when I went, I saw a big red stain on the back of my pants where people could see it! It was embarrassing! So I just had to run back to my car, drive home, change my pants, and then head back to the grocery store. Woo wee.....

@KenzieBugg13 if I were you, I wouldn't be nervous at all :) I was really nervous to, but when it did start I was just like wow it's not as bad as I thought it would be. My advice to you is always have a pad or tampon on hand, and talk to your mom. She will be so happy you came to her and it will make you closer to her so just don't be scared and nervous because it's not as bad as you might think it is :)
