ELF studio brushes are brilliant for a cheap way to start up/fill up your kit. I just received the flat top powder brush and the fake kabuki, and I love them both :) so soft!

See, this is the one thing tha I hear about ELF brushes all the time is that there is a lot of shred and thats one thing I HATE! I can't STAND IT! :( but i really want inexpensive brushes. I think it is SO dumb to spend 10/15 dollars on ONE stupid brush. Ill just try them out anywaysss. (: i liked the video though! i subscribed because of it lol

@lvhlf18 The $1 brushes are the only ones I've ever had that really shed- but the eye shadow brushes weren't a problem as long as I hung them upside down to dry after washing them (previously I'd just stood them up and it deteriorated the glue).

The studio line brushes don't shred at all for me. When I first got them one or two hairs came off (not each but total) and then that was it.

I'm not sure about their mineral brushes, but I've heard that they're just as good as the studio ones.

@Mazymaeness She probably uses make-up brush cleaner, but I clean my makeup brushes the same way I clean my artist brushes. Kind of like how they used to clean them way long ago, (1800s, I think artists did this) they (and me) used olive oil and water. :D

If you try olive oil or veggi oil it will take that stuff right out of your lip brush. I owned some and I experimented with them and either oil works. Cool Vids.

I have the mac flat shader eye brush and paid $30 Canadian for it from mac (so I know it's authentic) and I wish I hadn't its scratchy and pokes my eyelids. Mac is a bunch of hype and marketing that sucks people in. I own 5 brush sets from too faced, smashbox, bare escentuals, lauren hutton, and pur minerals so I know what I'm talking about. I bought the $1 elf foundation brush and $3 stipple brush and use them more!!
