i used to overclock my asus g50 from the direct consol, but suddenly when i try to overclock it, the performance and LED light tabs on the direct consol arent clickable, only the OLED panel tab, do you know whats wrong, why direct consol isnt working, how can i fix this or overclock without direct consol?

the hp specs are better though. its a multimedia laptop. i was considering getting this and i went to my neighbour who works in IT and he said the hp would be better plus i got it at factory price so i basically got a $4000 laptop for $3000 including 3yr warranty all extras etc etc etc. the only game ive been running on it lately is assisins creed. i run it on max settings and have no lags and very little noise. the base score for the graphics is 5.0 and the processor is 5.6

u can put DDR3 memory on the asus as well ! but it's selled with DDR2 to make it cheaper, AND because DDR3 isnt that well used nowadays. but that makes the asus pretty evolutive ^^

No. I can run Crysis on my Computer even though i don't have Shader Model 3, which is needed for some games like Bioshock.

I know tho that there are greater gamer laptops out there like Dells m1730 and Alienwares m15x/m17x. But they cost alot of money. I think the thing that makes this laptop so awesome is that it is so cheap.

It can improve game performance but its not neccesary, it does help for games like crysis and mass effect i guess :P
