I loved this fucking series. So much thought and time put into the concept and designing of characters. I'm not sure exactly how much time was put into making it, but now when it comes to anime, it's the same recycled shit. Naruto and Bleach are one of the same, with different characters. Inhuman abilities that are good for one fight, and the main protagonist always trying to save his/her friend over and over. This sticks to one plot, and seems so damn real. A series of unparalleled beauty.
I tried to not cry the entire time, but when Ein chooses to follow Ed in the later episode... waterfall of tears of happiness:] beautiful soundtrack, beautiful dub, beautiful art... god i love Cowboy Bebop

Well we don't actually see Spike die, it's assumed that he dies. Shinichiro Watanabe has said as much in an interview, so since he's the director, I choose to believe that it's up to interpretation. Personally I don't think Spike could die, simply because he was ready to die at that moment. Either way, tremendous series and my undisputed fav anime of all time.
@sassy1988 well it was mentioned in the series that when a person dies their guardian star disappears or falls and after the end credits you see a star fade out. Although that star could belong to Vicious I think its clear he's dead.
@Karascool Yeah, that part was what I think implied Spike died, but it could've been Vicious' (and I secretly hope it was). Spike was just far too cool a character to have checked out for me. ;-} Just keeping the hope alive that maybe Watanabe will decide to revisit our favorite space cowboys at some point.

Really good video going on my one playlist. I remember all the buzz they created when they realsed the press about "Cowboy Bebop the Movie: Knocking on Heavens Door". People were pissed some were happy in the end it was a fantastic film I've watched it so many times that it puts me to sleep lol
Now if only other anime's were this great, had a great soundtrack, great characters, great storyline etc. Then all would be right with the world. Instead we're stuck with Naruto, Lucky Star, and other bs. This show raised the bar for every other anime that comes after it. It didn't win Greatest Anime in the Universe for 3 straight years for nothing.

@SickBritKid Yeah that word to me when Steve Blim says it is so epic and iconic. i literally cried when Tom (steve blum) said it when Toonami was taken off the air. They could not have found anyone better to voice Spike. every voice in CB fit their character like a glove.

Spike did die. He knew it was coming just listing to his story he told Jet before he left. He just didn't want to let go of what was, and accept what is. A mighty JEDI he would have been.
the best show alive no dout. i watched this when i was what around 10 i think. 10 to 15 when ever it released. spike best chracter in anyshow. by far the greatest two episodes of all time. ballad of the fallen and the real folk blues part 2. and in my opinion SPIKE DIED.

Watanabe (the creator) stated, "I've never officially said that he died. At this point, I can tell you that I'm not sure if he's alive or dead." So there is a chance he is still alive. Either way...Great AMV.

This is one of my favorite songs. Not just in Cowboy Bebop or in anime but in music. Period. The only song I like more from the series is probably Call Me Call Me. Both these songs just touch me to the point where I just have to close my eyes and mouth the words.
Spike is and always will be one of my favorite heroes of all time, this song just captures the beauty of this series so much... people talk shit on anime but thats like saying you dont like movies.... EVERY SINGLE person ive gotten to sit down and watch this series with has thanked me for it... greatest anime of all time.
Great artists aren't the ones who keep a series going for 300 episodes, the good ones, the real good ones are the ones that make one of the best ones in only 26.
In my personal list I rank it only second to NGE, by a 0.00001 difference.

spyke is one of the coolest charakters I came across since I started watching alot of anime or series, he's like "whatever's fine with me". And there's no moral cookies in Cowboy Bebop, No laim hero who has to both save the day and don't do anything bad or something lack of moral. i remember my first time watching this series, and i remember when Ed was leaving... and seeing that seen at around 3:26 when Ein goes to look for Ed but gets discouraged but then spins around to go chase his best friend... honestly made me burst into tears... best possible way it could have wrapped those two characters.
this reminds me of the first pokemon movie, where mewtwo is growing up in the tube, hes in a dreamland with the girl, charmander, bulbasaur, and squirtle, and they start dieing but he remains alone in the dark after that!
also, the fact that Ein went with Ed made me soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy, i cannot express... the song Wo Qui Non Coin explains it better :]
All writers strive for the response this series gave to its fan base. The ability to have someone feel so much for the characters they dreamed up that they cry when that character is hurt or killed. It speaks volumes really.
Great AMV but I think it might of been better if at the end it said "Your gonna carry that weight" like at the end of the last episode. I think it just gives it a deeper feeling. But as i said great AMV.

The death of a friend is a massive emotional hit. There are many people who just can't cry because of it, mostly because inside of themselves they just couldn't yet realise that that person is now gone.
Their head tells them that he/she is dead, but the brain(or heart, for you treehuggers) doesn't listen.

@JoKeRsObLiViOn420 No one knows but thats a good guess and thats the one i prefer... it does not carry to much weight in the post story. With Spike dead there will be no Red Dragon

@mikhailstewart well i believe he had died because if would make for a better ending and the red dragon would end.Plus when jet goes to see the fortune teller he talks about when a human died his guardian star fades away. you can argue it was visious star thats fading away and not spikes but i dont want spike to die truthfully nor the show 26 eps was way i mean way to short. just wished they went more into story and more into the red dragon and spikes life. they should remake this id love that

This is one of my favorite songs. Not just in Cowboy Bebop or in anime but in music. Period. The only song I like more from the series is probably Call Me Call Me. Both these songs just touch me to the point where I just have to close my eyes and mouth the words.

Spike is and always will be one of my favorite heroes of all time, this song just captures the beauty of this series so much... people talk shit on anime but thats like saying you dont like movies.... EVERY SINGLE person ive gotten to sit down and watch this series with has thanked me for it... greatest anime of all time.

Great artists aren't the ones who keep a series going for 300 episodes, the good ones, the real good ones are the ones that make one of the best ones in only 26.
In my personal list I rank it only second to NGE, by a 0.00001 difference.

spyke is one of the coolest charakters I came across since I started watching alot of anime or series, he's like "whatever's fine with me". And there's no moral cookies in Cowboy Bebop, No laim hero who has to both save the day and don't do anything bad or something lack of moral. I love it, and the society they live in in the future seems so fucked up, everyone seems brain washed and poor and stupid. You know trash. Kinda lika the U.S is today, fucked up country btw

i remember my first time watching this series, and i remember when Ed was leaving... and seeing that seen at around 3:26 when Ein goes to look for Ed but gets discouraged but then spins around to go chase his best friend... honestly made me burst into tears... best possible way it could have wrapped those two characters.

this reminds me of the first pokemon movie, where mewtwo is growing up in the tube, hes in a dreamland with the girl, charmander, bulbasaur, and squirtle, and they start dieing but he remains alone in the dark after that!

All writers strive for the response this series gave to its fan base. The ability to have someone feel so much for the characters they dreamed up that they cry when that character is hurt or killed. It speaks volumes really.

Great AMV but I think it might of been better if at the end it said "Your gonna carry that weight" like at the end of the last episode. I think it just gives it a deeper feeling. But as i said great AMV.

Actually, there is. It's similar to a shock-like state.
A sad movie can make you cry, because it's a small sadness that, though slightly, strikes you emotionally.
The death of a friend is a massive emotional hit. There are many people who just can't cry because of it, mostly because inside of themselves they just couldn't yet realise that that person is now gone.
Their head tells them that he/she is dead, but the brain(or heart, for you treehuggers) doesn't listen.

i have watched this a million times and spike died. The beginning of the show he sees the indian and he says he will find a women and he will die. then in jupitar jazz he says when a star falls from a sky someone has died. gren died and a star fell from the sky. at the end of the credits a star what bright and then faded away and that was spikes star

i watched this back in the day when i was young and probly 5 to 10 times since then but the last time i watched it when ed departed i cried thinking that was the last time she would see spike, idont know kinda got to me and i've honestly haven't cried to fiction since i was 6 or so. ty for upload
