@lordlundar but in the original japanese version which is known as Sei Jushi Bismark they all have different names and each character has a different story and of course the plot was rewritten in the US

The leader in the original version is Shinji Hikari (known in the US as Fireball) as u said from Japan

the the rest are:

Richard Lancelot (Saber Rider) - Scotland

Bill Wilcox (Colt) USA

Marianne Louvre (April) France in the original version she is romantically linked only with Shinji Hikari
