@DoctorNambu yeah..both brands have thier ups and downs...i actually think GM has cheaply made interiors for most thier cars and Ford seems to have better made interiors but i have alsways believed GM makes more powerful engines..GM performance parts sells a 630hp LSX ( small block) engine that supports over 2000hp!..they have a 505hp LS7 and a 630hp LS9..GM has some stout ass stock engines..i also own a 2005 GMS Seirra 4x4 with 120k miles and it has'nt had so much as a hickup yet

If Ford had a modular motor as inexpensive and as easy to work on as an LSx motor is, people would be putting them into other car brands as well. @ilovechevy1 I doubt it is because they want to go fast. Its because of the return and overall package. higher displacement... not to mention the aluminum block which the 302 doesn't have. You can go fast with anything, but its the overall price and gain. Its just as the poster said..... its cheaper.. I also I would say the Camaro is actually a tad bit faster by milliseconds.. Why? our stangs have the optional 3.73.. give the SS that and it might just edge out.

@todd197349 obviosuly you dont know a damn thing about the LS motors. I've heard many ways to describe them but weak is not one of them. That word is used to for the 5.0 and the 4.6. My LS1 puts down more hp stock than your pos ford motors with full bolt ons and cam.
