@MrCosmin94, interestinly enough in a resent comparison of the r8 v10, sls, 911 turbo s and 2012 gtr, the sls recorded the 2nd fastest time around the track beating the 911 turbo s, and audi r8 v10. Enough said the sls is a far better rounded car in comparison to its competition (apart from the mp4-12c)

@LBB988 It's not a matter of speed and track. If you wanna take that in consider then you may wanna count the ZR1 in, Its much faster than 997 PDK Turbo on both drag and track. And it has a much lower price. Now would you pick the ZR1 over a Porsche? don't think so. And same here, lot of people will pick this over the Turbo any time. The SLS is a very beautiful, well made and comfortable car, and most importantly its a Mercedes Benz. In that case being fast as a rocket is never the real case.

exaclty... at first i was of the same opinion as them (i thought id rather have an r8 or even a porsche). i thought it was a lame attempt of mercedes to make a supercar.. but then i had the opportunity to drive it on the track for about an hour. I fell in love with the thing. Guys its simply amazing, the elegance, the acceleration and that brutal sound.. when it all comes together it just makes for a really exceptional experience, it actually made my eyes water..

@LBB988 Correction: the SLS is alot faster than the V10 R8, both in a drag and around the track. The SLS is whole 4 seconds faster than the v10 r8 around the nurbergring. Please dont compare the pathetic r8 which is only a cheap gallardo to the SLS. And BTW people who know about cars would never choose an r8 over an SLS. The GTR is very good car, and i mean its a really excellent car and i even think its underpriced. It should be in the turbo money range. Still the SLS is a very classy supercar
