She's not bad. But, I don't get all the hoopla. It's not like she's anywhere close to Joyce Moreno or Eliane Elias. She's okay. I'd enjoy seeing he in a club. That's about it.
This chick needs to learn her chords. During the first section she's playing E m9, F# m11, and B m9. But several times she refers to the B m9 as C "minus", which I assume "minus" is "minor".
eh.. you can call the second chord by different names (F# m11 or B11 with an F# root, or B7sus4 with an F# root, etc), but you don't call a B chord a C. Doesn't matter if it's B m9, B maj7, etc...a B is a B, and a C is a C.
The problem wasn't that she doesn't know here cords, but that she was trying to give a music lesson in a language she barely has command of. In Brazil, musicians don't read notes as C-D-E-F-G-A-B, they say do-re-mi-fa-so-la-si, and her mistake came in saying "Si" minus (not "C" minus) rather than "B" minor. Aside from that, she simplified the cords to make things easier.
@suedezero But, don't they differentiate between straight minor, minor 7 and minor 9. She gives the root of the note all right. She's messes up in the chord extensions.
She's not saying "C" she's saying "si", which is the correct solfège for the Bm in this key. A little confusing because she uses letter chord names and solfège interchangeably, but it's not incorrect

sometimes when you play certain chords together they change. It all depends on the theroy that you use to play in
