I love killing seals. I kill them every chance i get. I live on the east coast of canada and i have seen what seals do to the fisheries. The cod fishing was fine till they slowed the the seal cull. Actually, i probably kill more seals now than i ever did. Every time i pull the trigger i like to think of all those bleeding heart dumb fucks around the world who have NO idea what the fuck they are talking about. What I don't Like is how people think we " C L U B " Seals first they are shot with a gun second they do not Kill The Baby Seals People they just use the baby seal on the banners but in REAL life they only kill the old one's !! and mostly I would like the One's who are against the seal hunt DO YOU NOT SEE WHAT IS GOING ON IN ASIA RIGHT NOW !! they are killing dogs and Cats !!! Ripping there Fur off them ,ALIVE right on the Street and Putting them in bags to freeze for food and you call us cruel?

@tricon909 yeah we do call you cruel because even though there are alot of slaughters for all kinds of animals all over the world...it doesnt make this one ok. it doesnt make any of them ok...but the people who are against animal abuse should be against all animal slaughters.
if you have a pet.....what if someone came and smashed their skulls and hit them in the head with a club while they were still half alive? would you be for it or against it? im pretty sure you wouldnt be for it.

I'm Canadian...but I am from Western Canada where people are intelligent. This mediocre broad and her redneck seal clubbers are from ESTERN Canada, where people are less intelligent and more barbaric, obviously. No wonder Newfoundland's economy sucks.

@swangardian Have you tried seal flipper? It's delicious. There more uses to seals than fur, so get educated. It's about as cruel as killing cows or veal for leather and meat. I disagree with clubbing them, but most people shoot them to give them a humane death. And please don't specifically rip on Newfoundland, I've lived here my whole life and I've never even seen a seal that wasn't cooked and on my plate. You have the right to rip on seal CLUBBERS, thats all.

@swangardian I am from Newfoundland and I bet I'm 10 times as smart as you you complete ignorant fuck. Stop bashing people for where they are from. Not all of us here on the East coast do this, probably on 1% of our whole population does this. I'm for the hunt because it provides a source of income or people who cannot get income any other way. And fyi, the hunters use guns and only kill the older seals. It just like killing cows or hunting caribou, just cuter animals. Get a fucking life.

anyone who is not a complete vegan has no right to oppose the seal hunt..if you go to the PETA website you will see a video by paul macartney on farm animal cruelty..can someone come up with a reasonable intelligent answer why it is ":cool:" to eat bacon, chicken wings, and steaks at kfc or macdonalds..(please see the paul macartney video first)..but the sealers trying to survive are the devil...maybe it is because kfc and macdonalds have billions of dollars and a lot of influence....

I remember that fuss last year. What a shame that the likes of Paul McCartney who said he was in Newfoundland when he was actually in Nova Scotia and some unamed person who writes about the sealers in Iqualuit (people with unwashed bums) instead of Iqaluit, actually get to promote their anti-sealing campaigns based on so much misinformation. They have no credibility.

WoW she is seriously disturbed. She says "it's become so humane in the last few years." Then let's see her out there while the club hits a baby seal's skull and blood splatters all over her face and crown. Her stance is that it's tradition and helps their economy....this world is really in trouble. :(

A majority of Canadians oppose the hunt. Since the European ban on seal parts, the economic value of this activity has plummeted. The practice tarnishes Canada's image and international reputation. The Canadian government could easily pay the hunters to stop hunting, and recoup those losses through increased tourism revenue and the enhanced marketability of Canada's international image.

I've bought a mink fur hat 1 winter ago in Montreal and I just love it. Top quality, great warmth, black tonality. I don't regret paying the extra over the beaver hat. My mink hat comes from a recognized farm. Mink is not endangered species. Minks are killed like cows, pork, chicken and fish...Have you ever eaten meat from any of these animals? have you ever had any kind of leather clothing? Why don't you go and attack those industries instead?

Go to see the harvesting of horses for dog food, chickens for food etc. I grew up a fisherman in Alaska. You eat fish. Do you feel it is wrong to catch them too? Or hunt deer? Pot crab? Eat Lobster? The seal hunt in the Pribolof Islands was controlled and brought much needed dollars. What the heck gets into the mind of these tree huggers? These people treat each other like garbage, and have never touched a seal. But are experts on the harvest? Call the harvesters murderers?

please read:
1. seals aren't as cute, fuzzy & innocent as you think. they can be SO vicious it's scary.
2. it is ILLEGAL nearly everywhere to hunt baby seals or whitecoats. protest ads always dipict a baby seal getting brutally murdered, despite the ban canada has on hunting them in the first place
3. go read death on the ice. sealing wasn't always something people did as a hobby. it can be difficult
4.STOP picking on newfoundland. greenland, norway, russia have seal hunts as well.

This particular hunt is commletly unessasry, The fisherman doing this make money from fishing this is just a dying tradition they only get like 15 bucks per pelt, it littlery is pocket change for the fisherman. It will die one day, It will. so many countrys already will not allow seal products in. This hunt is completly diffrent from the inuit one were they use absalutly every part of the seal and they need to do it to live year round for food and clothing. Unlike this hunt.
