I would love to get this video but they don't make it anymore, I love Michael and his older stuff but I heard that Bill had destroyed some of the master tapes when poor little Michael was having his problems. Never judge someone else until you have walked a mile in their shoes.

@fwsinned....yet another person to pass judgment on Michael and make comments that are not needed. God has forgiven him....never to be reminded....but there are plenty of "Christians" who will never let Michael forget. I have known Michael for many years and watched his career along the way. Michael is not the first to do what he did nor will he be the last...move on, get over it. God has forgiven him,,,why cant you?

Phelp's voice is very uncommon. Not many can project their voice in song like that guy.

i couldn't agree more. phelps is ok, but he is very very one-dimensional and i love him when he belts that loud note, but i can only take so much of it. mark and terry compliment michael english perfectly. and no one can match michael's power and diversity. if anyone compares songs they both did and listens to both gaithers' versions of "satisfied" and "give up" it is pretty obvious who's better :)

Krizzles, have you ever heard David Phelps Mark Lowry, Guy Penrod, Bill and Russ sing together? This is sung very beautifully by this group, but I think all those other guys would outdo it. Of course I have never heard those guys sing this one.

I cannot sing well, but I did a quartet at a youth camp with this song after watching this exact video in the mid 90's. Beautiful song, English was great on this. GVB is the best!

Michael English was in a quartet called the Singing Americans years ago. They did this song with a slightly faster tempo and they knocked me down, it was so good. Two other songs on that album; On This Glory Road To Heaven, and Gloryland, are the consumate gospel quartet compositions. I have the album on old 33 1/3 lp and need to get it transferred to cd.

I also have the LP, but it's terribly warped. And I prefer the Singing Americans version of this song as well. An interesting tidbit that I just found out recently was that while Mike English was with the Happy Goodman Family, before coming back to the Singing Americans to record Live & Alive and Black & White, and he recorded both "Home" and "I Bowed..." with them on an album entitled Chosen, which is out of print as well.
