@xoSamyxo Sheldon can't live alone even though he can afford too, its because he chooses not to drive and needs someone to drive him to work cause he doesn't like taking the bus also having a roomate gives him someone to order around and make him do things for him. Penny doesn't need a roomate cause she can just go next and get free food free wifi or borrow money from Sheldon like she did once when she couldn't afford her rent.
