Your asking how the name Jesus still has powers when its been changed over time, Well that just shows how GREAT and POWERFUL God is. Stop underestimating GOD.
Hey dude, I am a young students taking a Greek class from a Professor who has 2 Doctorates in Koine Greek (the text that the Bible was wrote in) and I have something that I would like to bring to your attention. First, I am happy that you have your own belief, I am not gonna try and froce what I believe on you. Second, the Greek word for Ieshua, is has two meanings as you have pointed out; two names (Jesus, and/or Joshua). I urge you to talk to a Greek Professor about this subject.
Put an end to all of the guilt that you hold inside from the choices that you have made. Start life over with the slate wiped clean. Moreover, ask God for eternal forgiveness through applying the death and resurrection of Jesus to your life of sin within the quietness of your bedroom tonight. As an unrepentant sinner myself, I made this decision around 15 years ago. This is the most important decision that you could ever make. - Romans 10:9-10
Your acting like a latin/greek expert when in reality you don't even seem to know the history of the English Bible as we know it today. On top of that, pronunciation of Jesus is irrelevant to the historicity of the person of Jesus nor to the Bibles claims about him. Also, it sounds like you have a problem with how the Church says "there is power in the name!". Again, problem is with people not scripture. Did you even look for the verse that speaks of power in his name and exegete it yourself?
This is a very poor and VERY incoherent argument. I don't mean to throw a punch at you, but this is not a very scholarly approach. The name of Jesus doesn't actually come from Latin. The reason you have found Iesus in a number of translations is because they are innacurate versions that were re-translated from the Latin Vulgate which in itself is a re-translation of the original manuscripts. The problem is not the accuracy of scripture but of your sources.
cont. before the English language. The name for Jesus in the original Greek was,"Yeshua" or "Yoshua". This is also where we get the name Joshua. All that to say this Bru if you have questions about this kind of stuff ask someone qualified to answer you. its all translation. Holla at me and id be more than willing to answer any questions you might have or direct you to the right source
@jeetaraps did you watch the whole video.. youre just repeating what i said in the video. In regards to christianity...they claim the NAME JESUS has power. but it doesnt. Unless the name Joshua has power. WHY isnt his name just interpreted Joshua? theres a Joshua in the new testament and old testament.
@fratbrotha Jesus is translated from the Hebrew "Yeshua" sometimes written in the King James Bible in the Old Testament as "Jeshua." Yeshua is a variant on the Hebrew name Yehoshua. It is the latter that is always translated into English as "Joshua." Jesus is a transliterated rendering of Greek and Latin rendering, which itself is a transliteration of the Hebrew/Aramaic variant of Yehoshua (ie. Yehsua). This is not controversial at all.
@TruthUnadulterated Im speaking about how christianity claims theres power in "the name" which is my point.... his name is very common. Why didnt they just translate it to Joshua as they did the other joshuas in the bible?
@fratbrotha (1) I regret that I'm only now responding to your post, but I had a lot of things to do since my last post. The issue, so to speak, is not so much a Biblical one as it is a human interpretation issue. True, some believers erroneously may attribute the words themselves (including pronunciation) as a kind of power formula saying “in Jesus name,” and you too seem to have this in mind as being Biblical. Yet the Bible clearly rejects this notion as being the sole means . . .
@fratbrotha (2) . . . for power activation. When Jesus showed up in Judea, He made it clear that doing things to the letter alone was not sufficient. God ultimately desires heart loyalties and not merely lip service. Note Jesus to the Pharisees in Matt. 15 says “you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: ‘These people honor Me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from Me. They worship . . .
@fratbrotha (3) . . . Me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’” Jesus also says in Matt. 7, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice . . .
@fratbrotha (4) . . . lawlessness!’” We see the evidence of this when the seven sons of Sceva who were Jews of the first century well acquainted with the pronunciation of the name as vocalized through the Apostle Paul, tried to use The Name for power over demoniacs; and the result was devastating for them (see Acts 13). So, to be sure it is fine to say that there is power in the Name, but just reciting the words with a particular pronunciation is neither necessary nor . . .
@fratbrotha (5) . . . sufficient. One must first belong to Christ to act on His behalf--similar to when a police officer stops a person and says “stop in the Name of the law” (meaning the officer--a chosen agent who is authorized by the law and hence has the authority to stop you because of the power the law enforces).
@fratbrotha (6) . . . Lastly Josephus (a 1st Century Jewish historian and expert Jewish theologian) writes: “Such of the priests as were saved, took the ... for such names are pronounced here after the manner of the Greeks, to please my readers; for our own country language does not so pronounce them.” Also, The Greek transmission of the Hebrew Bible of that day (the Septuagint) was written in the colloquial vernacular of Greek so as to reach most Jews scattered in the . . .
@fratbrotha (7) . . . Jewish Diaspora with some notable name changes fitting the Greek renderings of people, and places. The New Testament was likewise written in this style of Greek (Koine), to reach the greater number. It is clear that this is what the Lord had in mind as well. This, then, is within the traditions of the sacred Jewish past.
I think I should finish here. Give it some thought, though.
Hey bro I've heard this argument many times and although I commend your efforts there is no logic to what you are saying. First off the bible was written in 3 different languages, Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic. Keep in mind that, whenever you read an Englishes bible you are reading a translation of one of those languages to English. So to say that Jesus didnt exist or we changed something just because the English letter "J" was in later is like saying there was no such thing as "Justice" or "Joy"
So whats your point? The bible itself uses many name's to describe God's son. But it up to you what you want to beleive. Cheers. Son of God - Mark 1:1 Son of Man - Matthew 8:20 Son of David - Matthew 15:22 Word - John 1:1 Lamb of God - John 1:29 Christ - Matthew 16:16 Savior - John 4:14 Rabbi/Teacher - John 1:38, Mark 5:35 Author of life - Acts 3:15 Alpha and Omega- Revelation 1:8 Lion of Judah - revelation 5:5 Bright Morning Star - Revelation 22:16 Word of God - Revelation 19:13
15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" 16 Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." 17 Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.Matt.16:15-17
I agree with silverballer1911 - Enough of the intro crap. Just get right to it. Sheesh!
The audio of your video is crappy, dude. Time to care enough to get both the video AND audio right. That's what real men do. If they have a serious message, they deliver that message the very best they can. When you played this video of yours back and heard it, you should have erased and started over. If you don't care, why should we? Time to wake up and grow up.
the messiah, the god of abraham, isaac, and isreal, is the savior call him the son of david, christ the living God, the messiah, yashua ....he will still save you. this isnt a game, as long as you know he is the christ you are cool.
If anyone can understand a reason to NOT believe the Bible, its me. Like you, and possible others here, I saw the way "Christians" lived out their lives in hypocrisy. But the Bible is not about the Christian, it is about God. It is also the most historically accurate book with 20,000+ scripts, scrolls, etc within the lifetime of Jesus Christ. NO other book comes close, nor has stood ridicules test.
@rmlrobl Most historically accurate book? Not at all. I'd give that title to either "Decline and Fall" by Edward Gibbon, or "The Histories," by Herodotus.
@AHMEDBULAXUBEY God creates everything ,therefore you are his creation why would he create a possible error in this case being homosexual ? then he is not perfect no one is.
songs allways thurt a person hart and make um amsnal if u exuse my speeling as my englash spelling aint that good. but the point hear is just like we dance to music and can realyt to it with a deeper meening just like so we feel were intoch with god throw god when this is not the cass but its are life time the things we made mistakes on and see the songs as something we can reliat to espesly if that sound then becomes a person e.g god meening he sufferd ect ect .. it really is lamee
@fratbrotha You probably watched the Zeitgeist movie. Did you? Just wondering. It says basically that the Judeo-Christian religions borrowed from other religions. But in reality the Bible did not borrow from any religion. It just has some certain parallels with other myths and legends of other countries, but even then they are not the same. You said that Christianity has stolen a lot from other religions. I would like to know what things were they. Please elaborate.
@fratbrotha you seem to think that everything must be taken to the extreme...not everyone in the middleeast are extremists or muslims, and what do/would you base your moral beliefs on if you even have any?
@fratbrotha It's all stood the test of time so God must want us to hear everything that's left in there and a name means Nothing what do the Russians call God, the Africans, the Chinese, the Indians a name is but a name it's the meaning behind the name that matters, so Montel you have Failed
@1987AaronM thats not my name. And theres plenty of things that stand the test of time. Why dont you believe in the greek Gods, islam, or judaism? There is plenty of things that were in the bible that were removed. So what does God have to say about that? The Catholic bible has more books ya know ...besides Im not referring to the names of God. Im referring to the name of a person to whom people say has name that has "power" ... May Jessie Christ bless you? same thing right
@fratbrotha Lol the Greek Gods have faded out how many people still believe in them it's because they are not the true God, the things that were removed from the bible were things God didn't want us to read or saw no point in us reading and I think you're missing my point The russians,Chinese ect. call God a different name like we call jesus a different name according to you but he's still God and Jesus is still Jesus, do you get my point yet Montague
@1987AaronM then your god is the council of nicea.. google it. They were the ones who editted the prostestant bible to what it is today. And since you're all big about changing names in regards to country..perhaps the greek gods are still around they just changed names for today. The romans changed the names of the god... Perhaps your Jesus is actually the sun god Apollo today or Eros the god of love and his mother Aphrodite is Mary... Christianity has stolen alot from other religions.
@fratbrotha No God isn't the council of nicea and yes I know about that, The Greek Gods are still around but changed their names,No, I don't think enyone would believe that seeing as the Greek Gods don't exist,do you believe that? areyou getting all your sorces from the internet or did you attend a History or Theology corse at university, Chritianity takes from God christianity is its own religion it's nothing like the God the Greeks believed in similar maybe..... I hate youtubes <350 line rule
@1987AaronM you have no more proof that your god exist any more than the greek gods or santa clause. Christianity pulls from Judaism and the jews pulled much of their theology from sumerian and egyptian mythology. perhaps youre the one who should study. Your belief simply is that...just a belief. The bible is no more proof than a comic book is proof that superman is real
@fratbrotha of course we can proove the god of christiany is more plausable. the greeks believe in many gods, and the believed that gods could die, and the jews did not pull anything from someone. and i disagree with that emotial last statement. if you dont believe in god there is no basis of creation which would llead you to believe the world is eternal which is just not true
@joshjeggs The jews didn't pull their beliefs from anyone? are you sure about that? The Elohim is a plural name for God in Genesis and clearly says Let US create man.. so sounds like multiple gods there. The jews pull alot of their stories from Egyptian, the Assyrians, and Sumerian stories. The Sumerians predate the Hebrews and were the first people to have a written history. If you read their legends, many of them sound like the stories in the Bible.
@fratbrotha i wold love to see some of these borrowed stories you talk about. Elohim is plural but is always used as if were one which is evidence of the christian trinity in the torah.
@joshjeggs Moses was raised in Egypt and supposedly wrote the first five books of the bible. It is only natural he would pull some of the beliefs from the culture he was from. The Noah story is one. Google it. Theres a much older version than whats in the bible. I cant do all your research for you. Only Christians believe in the Trinity no such belief is with the Jews. A god father having a human/god son is retold in many cultures.
@fratbrotha there flood ledgend manuscript was damaged of the egyptians it reads of 2 lines that say the people were rebelious and atum returned it to its original state. you are making the assumtion that parralelism means that you pull belifs. if i told you some parralels with a recent world leader would you still hold the claims of borrowing.
@joshjeggs google "the deluge" and see how many stories come up. It can't be parrelelism if one nation predates the other. Someone has to have pulled the story from someone. Especially the Hebrews who basically lived as nomads and were conquered by so many other stronger nations are most liable to adopt stories and traditions of ruling nations into their own beliefs.
@fratbrotha these parralels are not as stong as you think bro you havnt read them. and paralells dont mean that they have veen borowed.there are paralels with john f ken and philip 2nd but no one says they borrowed.
and even just because of parrralelism it doesent mean one of them are not right.
there are geniologies from adam to noah to abraham to david to jesus and if you think this is a myth you are not a historian.
@fratbrotha With your earlyer post about how I can't prove God exists that is true if you want contemporary Physical evidence but can you prove that God doesn't exist?
@1987AaronM Hey dude, just thought I'd point this out for future reference. But, when arguing the existence of God, the burden of proof is on the Christian to prove His existence. The burden of proof does not lie on the non-believer to prove that He doesnt exist. If you don't believe me, go research what the burden of proof is and how it should be shifted. BTW, I am a Christian if you were wondering.
@fratbrotha Similar Maybe but probably nothing alike the Greeks had fauls myths we have true legends, the other religions were just caretakers of our stories that's why they're in our good book and their religions have died out......... look I'm not trying to not talk to you my friend but it's late here in England I need some sleep leave a message or comment and I'll talk to you somee more tomorrow
You have made a series of errors and compounded them. The most important one is your first. There are indeed many variations of the copied biblical text. And if we only had one of those later copies it would be like the straight edge with nicks in it. There would be unrecoverable errors. However, since we have many copies and they don't all make the same mistakes, its like having many nicked straight edges. So, if you use them all in turn you can then still discover the true straight line.
"We account the Scriptures of God to be the most sublime philosophy. I find more sure marks of authenticity in the Bible than in any profane history whatever."
Brother think on this. Many books are translated. Do you think those who read say Harry Potter or something in another language are not getting the same book? Or they do not understand the translation of names? I good get deep but you have asked me not so so I wont YET. But please study and understand how translation works.
@gordonbobby1 in reference to the video i posted i only say this because people in the western world put so much emphasis on his name and the power of "the name" versus the actual person. The name is actually very common but there is deliberate translation changes to make it seem unique. Jesus is no different than the name Joshua.
That song was not a praise song. It's a song about doing what you want to do. "It's my life... I'm not going to live forever." Both things aren't biblical at all. The bible won't be accepted by everyone. I don't care if this guy doesn't believe in the bible. It's between him and God. It has nothing to do with me or any other believer. His words 'how I feel about the bible', well truth doesn't depend on how feel about it. It either is or it isn't, your feelings are irrelevant with truth.
Usually the claim is Francis Bacon changed the Bible. For this to be true, he would have had to change the Masoratic text and he would have had to change the Dead Sea Scrolls discovered in 1947. So this is impossible. Plus it is the most scrutinized series of text ever. Over 26,000 fragments discovered from different time periods and countries. No serious Bible critic would ever claim it was changed since there exists too much proof.
If God is Love and Humanity is Satan, arent we supposed to evolve eternally? Why arent CHristians Islamists Jews or just people Loving?Money lust a boring reaality etc causes people to be stressed and crazy. I suggest you think of your girl people as parts of the United Goddess which includes all Life in The Universe and Men are the same except men have failed in the Love Arena. If a leader doesnt improvise for eternity on Earth then they are young Satans meaning they are stupid and shouldntrule
The Jesus is Lucifer and the Bible is the test of the Human capacity to Love Humanity. Eternal Life is, whether it is through your children or in the boring heaven of the Bible or the boring nature of hell for people who steal candy bars and rape teddybears in lingerie. Fortunately every person on Earth is insane because we only care about ourselves over our descendants. The Earth may be for a very long time or this is just your test. How can you be sure about what exactly you are supposed to do
Hey Bruh forreal you should talk to the Catholic Church about all that. They are the longest running monarchy in history. And they are the ones that added and subtracted and in The Secrets Archives in the holy see they have a lot of hidden Gospels that where taken from the bible. And as far as The Names of Jesus We were separated at the Tower of Babel and our Languages confused sooooo ofcourse there would be corruptions with the language.
Why do you ramble through half of the video and has not ever gotten to the point. You appear to be all over the place with you thinking of inconsistency. Think before you make another vid.
Here is a good idea. How about we just call God what His Son called God" Father"(Mat 23:9) And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
And this one also. This verses is missing from other R.V., A.S.V, N.R.V, N.A.S.
Its in the K.J.V Which has all the versus.
(1Jn 5:7) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Not in other versions because different manuscripts. Look that up!!
these videos are not about the belief in God or what we call God. This video is about the written Gospels, the name of "jesus", and the obvious errors of those Gospels
I agree with you about the fact that Jesus in not the original name of God's Son. Even the Bible calls Him in many different ways. The question then would be ''What language does God talk ?'' in order to understand me when I call upon His name. I just wanted to remind you that the Bible says that all languages come from God (genesis 11:1-9) so basically God understands every language on earth.
This is not a video on language or whether God understands. This is a video on name and the claim and the social conditioning that there is "power in the name" and there is "no other name" and the claim that this "exclusive name" is Jesus. If language is the case the language translation would be Joshua which is in the new testament as well. But for some reason the Church decided to make him stand out more by giving him a latin name. My point is ..these claims have no validity.
People who believe that you only may call Him ''Jesus'' are obviously wrong. But think of it, I mean every name in the Bible is translated differently in each language. Jesus is the english version of Joshua. I speak romanian and we call Him Iisus. Does that change anything about His person ? No matter how we may call Him we all refer to the same person right ? The power comes from His person and not from His name. In fact, Joshua is a common name in hebrew.
@fratbrotha you could look for validity until the jugement. The bible is faith and has nothing to do with validity or evidence, or science. All those looking for such cant find the truth.
You misunderstand the scriptures that speak of the "name" of our Lord. Those passages do not refer to "name" as in a word by which someone is called. It refers to the character and substance of our Lord in the same sense as in Proverbs 22:1. This is also why the Father, Son and Holy Spirit have the same name since they make up the triune God.
Matthew 28
19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
@obeyingChrist that lie is from the devil and is specialized for christians. Jesus christ is his name that must be mentioned in prayers. Not yeshua or yahweh or Joshua. When you engage in spritual warfare, the demons wont flee if you call names other than Jesus, the blood of Jesus, Holyghost fire.
Geese Us? Jzues Buddah Mithra Horus Zoroaster Thulis Krishna Crite Atys Thammuz Hesus Indra Bali Iao Sakia Alcestos Quexalcote Wittoba Prometheus Quirinus Dionysus Yeshuah But I Do Prefure Isus For He Was The Child Of Isis There For!
Your asking how the name Jesus still has powers when its been changed over time, Well that just shows how GREAT and POWERFUL God is. Stop underestimating GOD.

If you don't care, why should we? Time to wake up and grow up.

NO other book comes close, nor has stood ridicules test.
rmlrobl 3 months ago
@rmlrobl Most historically accurate book? Not at all. I'd give that title to either "Decline and Fall" by Edward Gibbon, or "The Histories," by Herodotus.

@1987AaronM imagine what else that is probably "lost in translation" but in this case this "transliteration"
fratbrotha 4 months ago
@fratbrotha It's all stood the test of time so God must want us to hear everything that's left in there and a name means Nothing what do the Russians call God, the Africans, the Chinese, the Indians a name is but a name it's the meaning behind the name that matters, so Montel you have Failed
1987AaronM 4 months ago
@1987AaronM thats not my name. And theres plenty of things that stand the test of time. Why dont you believe in the greek Gods, islam, or judaism? There is plenty of things that were in the bible that were removed. So what does God have to say about that? The Catholic bible has more books ya know ...besides Im not referring to the names of God. Im referring to the name of a person to whom people say has name that has "power" ... May Jessie Christ bless you? same thing right
fratbrotha 4 months ago
@fratbrotha Lol the Greek Gods have faded out how many people still believe in them it's because they are not the true God, the things that were removed from the bible were things God didn't want us to read or saw no point in us reading and I think you're missing my point The russians,Chinese ect. call God a different name like we call jesus a different name according to you but he's still God and Jesus is still Jesus, do you get my point yet Montague
1987AaronM 4 months ago
@1987AaronM then your god is the council of nicea.. google it. They were the ones who editted the prostestant bible to what it is today. And since you're all big about changing names in regards to country..perhaps the greek gods are still around they just changed names for today. The romans changed the names of the god... Perhaps your Jesus is actually the sun god Apollo today or Eros the god of love and his mother Aphrodite is Mary... Christianity has stolen alot from other religions.
fratbrotha 4 months ago
@fratbrotha No God isn't the council of nicea and yes I know about that, The Greek Gods are still around but changed their names,No, I don't think enyone would believe that seeing as the Greek Gods don't exist,do you believe that? areyou getting all your sorces from the internet or did you attend a History or Theology corse at university, Chritianity takes from God christianity is its own religion it's nothing like the God the Greeks believed in similar maybe..... I hate youtubes <350 line rule
1987AaronM 4 months ago
@1987AaronM you have no more proof that your god exist any more than the greek gods or santa clause. Christianity pulls from Judaism and the jews pulled much of their theology from sumerian and egyptian mythology. perhaps youre the one who should study. Your belief simply is that...just a belief. The bible is no more proof than a comic book is proof that superman is real
fratbrotha 4 months ago
@fratbrotha of course we can proove the god of christiany is more plausable. the greeks believe in many gods, and the believed that gods could die, and the jews did not pull anything from someone. and i disagree with that emotial last statement. if you dont believe in god there is no basis of creation which would llead you to believe the world is eternal which is just not true
joshjeggs 3 months ago
@joshjeggs The jews didn't pull their beliefs from anyone? are you sure about that? The Elohim is a plural name for God in Genesis and clearly says Let US create man.. so sounds like multiple gods there. The jews pull alot of their stories from Egyptian, the Assyrians, and Sumerian stories. The Sumerians predate the Hebrews and were the first people to have a written history. If you read their legends, many of them sound like the stories in the Bible.
fratbrotha 3 months ago
@fratbrotha i wold love to see some of these borrowed stories you talk about. Elohim is plural but is always used as if were one which is evidence of the christian trinity in the torah.
you need to realise the context of it.
joshjeggs 3 months ago
@joshjeggs Moses was raised in Egypt and supposedly wrote the first five books of the bible. It is only natural he would pull some of the beliefs from the culture he was from. The Noah story is one. Google it. Theres a much older version than whats in the bible. I cant do all your research for you. Only Christians believe in the Trinity no such belief is with the Jews. A god father having a human/god son is retold in many cultures.
fratbrotha 3 months ago
@fratbrotha there flood ledgend manuscript was damaged of the egyptians it reads of 2 lines that say the people were rebelious and atum returned it to its original state. you are making the assumtion that parralelism means that you pull belifs. if i told you some parralels with a recent world leader would you still hold the claims of borrowing.
joshjeggs 3 months ago
@joshjeggs google "the deluge" and see how many stories come up. It can't be parrelelism if one nation predates the other. Someone has to have pulled the story from someone. Especially the Hebrews who basically lived as nomads and were conquered by so many other stronger nations are most liable to adopt stories and traditions of ruling nations into their own beliefs.
fratbrotha 3 months ago
@fratbrotha these parralels are not as stong as you think bro you havnt read them. and paralells dont mean that they have veen borowed.there are paralels with john f ken and philip 2nd but no one says they borrowed.
and even just because of parrralelism it doesent mean one of them are not right.
there are geniologies from adam to noah to abraham to david to jesus and if you think this is a myth you are not a historian.
joshjeggs 3 months ago
@fratbrotha With your earlyer post about how I can't prove God exists that is true if you want contemporary Physical evidence but can you prove that God doesn't exist?
1987AaronM 2 weeks ago
@1987AaronM Hey dude, just thought I'd point this out for future reference. But, when arguing the existence of God, the burden of proof is on the Christian to prove His existence. The burden of proof does not lie on the non-believer to prove that He doesnt exist. If you don't believe me, go research what the burden of proof is and how it should be shifted. BTW, I am a Christian if you were wondering.

JeffY6002 4 months ago
@JeffY6002 having many copies of a flawed document does not prove that it is accurate it just means you have many copies.

Or they do not understand the translation of names? I good get deep but you have asked me not so so I wont YET. But please study and understand how translation works.
gordonbobby1 4 months ago
@gordonbobby1 in reference to the video i posted i only say this because people in the western world put so much emphasis on his name and the power of "the name" versus the actual person. The name is actually very common but there is deliberate translation changes to make it seem unique. Jesus is no different than the name Joshua.
fratbrotha 4 months ago
@fratbrotha That is true brother. I would agree with you there.
gordonbobby1 4 months ago
That song was not a praise song. It's a song about doing what you want to do. "It's my life... I'm not going to live forever." Both things aren't biblical at all. The bible won't be accepted by everyone. I don't care if this guy doesn't believe in the bible. It's between him and God. It has nothing to do with me or any other believer. His words 'how I feel about the bible', well truth doesn't depend on how feel about it. It either is or it isn't, your feelings are irrelevant with truth.
uppercutter21 6 months ago
@TRUEGOD7 Do you have respect for that name Jesus. Dont be a careless christian, cause your statament gives you away.
taxmiy 7 months ago

This video is about the written Gospels, the name of "jesus", and the obvious errors of those Gospels
fratbrotha 3 years ago
I agree with you about the fact that Jesus in not the original name of God's Son. Even the Bible calls Him in many different ways. The question then would be ''What language does God talk ?'' in order to understand me when I call upon His name. I just wanted to remind you that the Bible says that all languages come from God (genesis 11:1-9) so basically God understands every language on earth.
obeyingChrist 3 years ago
This is not a video on language or whether God understands. This is a video on name and the claim and the social conditioning that there is "power in the name" and there is "no other name" and the claim that this "exclusive name" is Jesus. If language is the case the language translation would be Joshua which is in the new testament as well. But for some reason the Church decided to make him stand out more by giving him a latin name. My point is ..these claims have no validity.
fratbrotha 3 years ago
People who believe that you only may call Him ''Jesus'' are obviously wrong. But think of it, I mean every name in the Bible is translated differently in each language. Jesus is the english version of Joshua. I speak romanian and we call Him Iisus. Does that change anything about His person ? No matter how we may call Him we all refer to the same person right ? The power comes from His person and not from His name. In fact, Joshua is a common name in hebrew.
obeyingChrist 3 years ago
@fratbrotha you could look for validity until the jugement. The bible is faith and has nothing to do with validity or evidence, or science. All those looking for such cant find the truth.
taxmiy 7 months ago
You misunderstand the scriptures that speak of the "name" of our Lord. Those passages do not refer to "name" as in a word by which someone is called. It refers to the character and substance of our Lord in the same sense as in Proverbs 22:1. This is also why the Father, Son and Holy Spirit have the same name since they make up the triune God.
Matthew 28
19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
JeffY6002 4 months ago
@obeyingChrist that lie is from the devil and is specialized for christians. Jesus christ is his name that must be mentioned in prayers. Not yeshua or yahweh or Joshua. When you engage in spritual warfare, the demons wont flee if you call names other than Jesus, the blood of Jesus, Holyghost fire.
