This too, was my Apa's song. I was raised by grandparents till I went to school. So this was a BIG loss. On vacation my senior year when he died. As time has passed it's almost like no one says it's the family song but some how it is always sang at every event, generations down the line. It's been over 20 years and it seems like yesterday.

My grandmother's last wish was for her last 3 remaining siblings to sing this song for her, seemed like she waited for them and they sang it to her the night before passing.  I dont recall hearing anyone sing it like they did that night, my grandmother's wish came true. RIP Grandma Ortiz.
