So to any human who thinks ethics is a legite term can you please address which version of ethics you are referring to? To say ethics has a definition of morality is technically wrong because only one field in ethics does include morality. The other fields such as meta-ethics and descriptive ethics do not discuss morality at all. Pragmatists, who like to get over in the world, simplify things in order benefit from them is why this word is misused so often. "If I don't benefit this is useless."

This is NOT the correct definition. This is a scientific view practised mostly by those studies like psychology, anthropology and business that interact with humans. Human behavior that is positive is the goal in this version. The original definition comes from the field of Philosophy and this ain't it. It is okay but not accurate. Basically this is saying a group of humans agree to a set code of rules -- that is it! Morals discuss right and wrong --not this. There are 3 types of ethics.

I believe ethics is an emotional and cognitive process by which an individual, or group, decides what is moral, and what is not.
