You're all missing the point!! Everyone on the beach is taking really GOOD nerve pills, so a seaplane fubaring on the beach doesn't bother them at all.  Hell, they didn't even notice it. I remember watching Endless Summer II, and this scene years ago. I'm sure the pilot said something like "If you want to film me coming in close to the beach I know a few moves to make it look dramatic", then he fucked it up. We've all been there.... but I normally do it on my bike.

That plane was really tough! The prop strikes the ground but the engine doesnt even stop. He prolly flew away after this. Almost guaranteed.

Apparently this happend in Costa Rica about ten years ago when a team of American surfers were filming a movie/documentary about surfing in Costa Rica. The movie is called Endless Summer II and there are some clips of this movie here on YouTube. It seems that the pilot was an American guy living in Costa Rica at the time, who had a Grumman Goose. According to the movie this beach is called Ollie's Point, though I sincerely doubt of it, because OP is located within a restricted flying area.
