  • Beautiful

  • Great Irish American tenor.

  • I'm biracial, 1/4 Native American and 3/4 Irish. I represent the fact that love transcends. My family may be a unique mix, but I'm proud of both sides. My Irish boyfriend sings this, and it's the most achingly sweet thing. I hope he sings it to our wee babies someday. O, Máthair Eiré, grá síoraí.

  • I love me irish mother

  • my nanna used to sing this to me while me papa stood nearby, im crying

  • My dad sang this to me every night, I think I'm going to cry, they don't make songs like these any more.

  • Hell yes...Barney killed this on the Simpsons, also, I think he was "spoofing" Gomer Pyle from the Andy Griffith Show who also had a surprisingly fantastic singing voice. He was in the bathroom just like Barney.

  • Thumbs up the video if you got it from the simpsons!!!

  • I may be a Ginger. But being Irish AND Italian makes me proud. :)

  • I love being Irish.

  • My dad sang this to my son 26 years ago, now it brings back some wonderful memories. God bless my dad x

  • my gran sang this and my mother also.beautiful!!!!thank you so much for the memories this stirred.

  • For Frank McCourt R.I.P

  • Beautiful....

  • Hi there,

Any chance you have the instrumental to this song?

  • I must admit I shed a tear or two when I listen to this song. Hauntingly beaitiful, the man has a lovely voice.

  • I think Bing Crosby sang this the best when it comes to using it to put children to sleep. Bob McGrath has an incredible voice and I'm not dissing that, but this is more for pleasure listening. Still very beautifully done, with pure clear tones. Wonderful! God bless the Irish!

  • Who knew that Bob McGrath was such a singer!! This is one of the best versions I have heard.
