the best of the best! what a cool film! wish Ford made more FE 427's for everyday cars back then, probably the nastiest engines ever to come out of Detroit! 3mm easy! pedigreed work of art. Imagine being the rich dude's mechanic who gets to work on it and take it for test drives around the neighborhood! If they got 170 mph out of bias-ply tires back then, with a little tweaking and cheater slicks this should top 200 easily!
i saw this car. it came to chicago at the rosemont convention center. The man who presented the car was Carrol shelby's right hand test guy. he said that Shelby had taken that car around the track and got it up to 170mph. and yes its the only 1967 super-snake in existance
Tires were not pretty or glossy cool back then... they performed as needed. The car itself is the viewing piece of pleasure... a 427 Shelby GT 500 - 650 HP.. Good Lord, that kind of engine output is unheard of now. That's equivalent to an EF5 tornado on a bad ass scale. I bet that car (if it survived) is worth millions.
lol love the white walls
