I believe sometimes the parts you do differently than the original end up overpowering the original riffs - maybe just because they're different. But still, I don't really like that!

Really good cover! sometimes "making it your own" works and sometimes it doesn't. This one really works. There are parts of the solo I am not sure work as well as they should but when you start kicking it spanish guitar style (6:25 onwards) it KICKS ASS. coolio!

Thanks! The spanish part was an afterthought (typical song evolution). It came about because of a "something's lacking" kind of feeling about the solo.

It's funny - the "foot bass" was accidental. Sometimes I tap my foot to keep my rhythm, and we probably would have left it out of the recording (e.g., put a pad under my foot to mute the noise), but it sounded good.
