Thumbs up. It is a shame more wagons are not offered in the US. Working as a contractor in Germany, and wagons do 90% of the moving of equipment, and people.
that exhaust makes it sound like shit. the other thing is they couldn't get something better then a 100cc Yamaha kart. at lest a JR. rotax would be better.
@5ANDEMAN We'll agree to disagree. Not always practical to have one of every ideal car in the garage. Fast wagons are a nice compromise. Personally, I drive an RX-8 right now.
@5ANDEMAN why would it matter to have 300 hp u wont kill ur family with a light foot and u can speed in anything its more safe acualy to speed in one of these with brembos all around most older men enjoy luxary and speed they baby foot it to shool with the kids then pin it when the kids are not in the car and why would you go out and buy 2 cars when you can own one that can do both
@dbanner126 Don't forget, the car was built for the SEMA show. I'd say compared to other cars on display there, it showed a lot of restraint regarding gimmicks.
Subaru should just make a larger car like the M5 size or Mazda 6. This way guys like me who used to have a STI but had to get something bigger (SRT8 Magnum) because of kids can still have the AWD and Subaru reliability and fun. They should also make a engine that is 3.5 turbo charged to put inside this larger sedan to compete with the likes of M5's Nissan's etc.
@taedom Thats a good idea, but still have it in the catagory of tuned fun and sporty! I'd take a sedan anyday over a wagon! But I'm aa 2 Door Coupe guy and will always be that. My wife gets the family sedan while I'll always have to have my sports car!
This car is cool but, we men really don't want a Wagon as our go to for fun car! Hook up the Legacy Sedan and the WRX and we will just be fine with those!
@supersayin as a fully fictional man i actually prefer sport hatch or wagons to sedans Having had both the usability is not even comparable. The downside just isn't even there.
@cold02rex Fictional or functional LOL!! WOW! I've never really met any other guy that would prefer a wagon over a coupe or sedan. I understand having a family or what not, but never as his primary or fun car! I'd think If i had to go that route it would be the Dodge magnum SRT-8, but I really can't see having a wagon as my street rod, or performance car. But I understand it's your prefence and I can't knock you for that my friend.
@supersayin1 I drive a modded WRX wagon. Thus my opinion having had both. Yes functional not fictional. lol beer wording. I like stealthy with my sportiness.
sick looking car, very cool to see that some sema cars can actually do what all of our wet dreams really consist of ... too bad its collecting dust :(
I'd buy one

why do they need a Iegacy wagon when they have a Subaru Outback wagon? I'd rather have an Audi Avant anyways.

@seroyer2 I overheard from a Subaru rep that the Coyote was the one that fit in the car without significant modification to the car.

@drivingsports makes since just kind of weird to have a kid kart in the back. But I race karts, and really very few people would notice.
seroyer2 1 year ago
@seroyer2 Yeah, I think that was the point -- "It's a Kart" that's all 99% of the population hears.
drivingsports 1 year ago
@drivingsports Strange... That big of a car, and the best they could fit is a Coyote kart.

@5ANDEMAN Its practicality with weekend racing possibilities. Some people need the extra cargo space and other people just have bad taste.. lol

@Qnickel27 There was a Wagon Outback Turbo 5MT available in 2007. Aaron (who appears in the DSTV Extra! Episodes) owns one.

They should remove the stripes on the side and get rid of the stickers.

@taedom I've been telling Subaru to build something like this for a while. 450hp M5 fighter. I don't think we'll see it anytime soon, though.
