I remember laughing and having fun with Mickey and his friends.

  • Your never too old to enjoy good work, regardless of its presentation or childishness.

  • i'm 17 now, and i just watched the hercules movie after all these years. I just can't get this silly smile of my face, loved the film

  • @iosephskef it took you until 17 to see hercules??? omg you were a deprived child- used my classical civilisation lessons lat year as an excuse to watch this (twice in one year) making 11 times i have seen it

    incredible film

  • @bluesteelsaxophone i had watched it as a child. By after all these years i meant that last time i watched it i was like 10 or 9, I didn't even remember most of the jokes (which, by the way, made the film better) it was like watching it for the first time but at the same time bringing back old memories :)

  • @iosephskef yeah the old disney films were the best and watching them when yur older you realise some of them actually had quite clever and/or smutty jokes

  • does anyone think this would be a good class song for graduation?

  • @TheMookie789 only if you are finishing elementary school or middle school

  • @OkUrRight hey i agree with Mookie789.... just because its from a disney movie doesn't mean the song is childish... if you listen to the lyrics it would make an excellent graduation song

  • @conesnail1 Your totally right!

  • d'aww

  • just now as an adult i realized how great old Disney movies are. I grew up with it, and I´d always love to see some :)

  • yes the movie is awesome but so off from real greek mythology i mean some of its right but still...

  • @zerbalover29 they had to water it down some.. honestly if you showed the actuality to kids.. it would have been bluh .. so each god had 1 set domain not several.. to confusing.. we learned zues big lightning bolts.. 1 kid-- herc and that hades looks like a big blue guy in a dark robe living in the underworld...

  • People Just Follow your heart instead of your brains cuz if you do you gona think to much.. if you like it you do dont go think and say stuff like it has nothing to do with real greek myth or stuff like that its a great movie then respect is as a movie not the storyline if its real or not..

  • this might be dorky but i still love disney movies!! all my friends would pick a scary movie to see but i would be like fuck it im gonna watch disney lol

  • instant goosebumps and tears!

  • Disney will never get old!! Lol...Even though they are wrong on parts of the actual myth, but hey it is a great Movie!!! GO DISNEY!!! :3 XD

  • this song, is the theme of chicken nuggets. they just go together so well. their taste, and this sound, mixed with the smell of fries, and the sensation you get in fast-food restaurants. Now that, is a little piece of heaven.

  • i love it when in history they ask questions about hercules, im like BOOYAAAH I ACTUALLY KNOW! i did especially good in my moses question, prince of egypt ftw!

  • @leilarose1011 Prince of Egypt haha I love that movie!

  • This song is dedicated to Cyrus the Great.

  • Thumbs up if you like this song version better than the Michael Bolton version

  • @anime2freak12 that's because roger bart is so awesome! :)

  • its weird that I'm still into these old disney movies and I'm 20. They all just take me back in time. And these movies are also priceless. Watching them again, I learn things I didn't when I was 7 or 10.

  • i miss the disney movies that made you cry....

  • The first few seconds could be from Dead Space.

  • disney's story is better than the myth....

  • god i love disney

  • i love all the older disney movies, and it's such a shame that my generation is full of idiots that would rather watch grown ups than mulan or hercules... i feel ban for disney! i know that not a lot of people like the new disney, but they're just trying to stay in the business... kids these days (I'm a kid oops) have terrible senses of humor. oh well, we'll just have to teach our kids what a real movie looks like!!!

  • @mydogkirby Well aren't you just a beacon of hope...

  • @podsterkid Way to copy the top comment, GG for originality

  • @SnJester Dude i was only correcting him...

  • lol cool. top comment... by a lot. oops. ^.^

  • He was effing adorable. I've held this opinion since I was..whatever age when I watched this movie back in elementary school.. Or whatever grade. His voice makes dreams.

  • I have a horse who's name is Herkules, and this song is just like him!! No one belives he can be a sporthorse, well we gonna show them he can!! I remember when we buyed him my dad told me he is ugly :s And now he is a beauty!!!

  • Oh man... I'm tearing up and grinning from ear to ear. It's amazing what a beautiful piece of music will do to a grown man wrapped up in nostalgia.

  • i feel like crying.....so beautiful!!!!! where did our childhood go?

  • One of the songs I like to refer to as "my songs" :')

  • Our batch sang this song for a performance in Grade School

    Great memories

So excuse me while I cry :)

  • Childhood memorys! <3 When Disney was at it's greatest.

  • i think it's fair to say hercules was the greatest greek mythological hero ever though, only one to ever become a god anyway. love the real myths but this movie is awesome, tugs the heart strings every five minutes T_T

  • I love how the Old Disney inspires me. :')

  • I really feel like singing this at graduation. *tear* #classof2012 #90skid

  • Why do people say the new generation will miss out? They can just watch it online, like we are right now xD

  • @Ttadmer The will miss it alright, its not like every 4-10 year old will go looking for it anyways (Bad English)

  • Ironic how the Disney movie is TOTALLY off from the Greek myth..yet I feel like i learned so much off of this.

  • @JennJenn4life you're joking?! i thought i learned a lot xD

  • @XDbeans like in the real version....He kills Meg and their children...Hera's not his child...Zeus was a player...and etc. etc. lol

  • @JennJenn4life should actually be Heracles, but no one cares. it's a disney movie.

  • @murphy54000 I think it's pronounced both ways but you're right about the second part ^_^

  • @JennJenn4life no, Heracles is the greek name for the roman hero Hercules.

  • @murphy54000 yeah...so it is pronounced both ways. but uuuhhh lol Everything in this movies is wrong. You expect the names to be historically accurate?

  • New generations are missing out. They will never experience such an attachment to these classics.

  • They now make crap. new is out old is in!

  • che figa e sta canzone in americano!

  • @Draken156 I'm sorry, I don't speak your language, so therefore you have to speak mine.

  • @RandomAmericanGuy oh yes :) the original version of this song is very nice!!!...COOL!!!!

  • C'mon guys, we've had some fantastic films since the likes of Hercules. The Toy Story trilogy? The Princess and the Frog? Let's remember that the formula for an amazing Disney musical isn't a hand-drawn fairytale, either. I've loved films like The Nightmare Before Christmas since childhood and I still do. I love Disney!

  • @ProfessorParadox7 Princess and the Frog sucked. So did toy story 2 and 3

  • @TheBearagon Did you actually watch the Toy Story's? They're amazing! I can understand The Princess and the Frog, not everyone liked that, but TOY STORY?

  • @ProfessorParadox7 Yes i have. I feel that toy story 2 and 3 were just ways to make money off of an old name

  • @ProfessorParadox7 I loved Princess and the Frog, I'm one of the few people who counts that as my favorite movie. It may not seem like much on the surface, but if you Dig a Little Deeper it's actually incredible.

  • @Ttadmer Aha, I see what you did there :3 It was an incredible movie; it had great music and characters and everything you need in a good movie.

  • @ProfessorParadox7 I agree the newer Disney movies were still great films! I just hate those cheesy live action comedies on Disney channel! It almost feels like they shame the Disney name. :(

  • @nejifangirl29 I completely agree, they've really let everyone down with those :c

  • @ProfessorParadox7 Exactly! I feel like Disney is just teaching kids how to be obnoxious, ignorant and rude these days! Its completely opposite the nice loving virtues that the old Disney movies taught.

  • 1:47 aaawww ♥

  • What.TheFuck. Happened to Disney movies?! These were all hand-drawn. Music was provided by orchestra.

  • Classic Hamtasticness!!!!!!

  • the older disney movies shaped who I am today. They taught me my values and how to discover myself. Today's disney movies are all 3D and don't come close to the classics

  • God, I love these movies! I grew up on Disney movies. And when I watched them so many times that the VHS tapes fell apart, I got them all again on DVD and watched them some more!

  • disney people are never happy staying where they are lol

    great song though

  • i dont think i would be the person i am today if i didnt watch this when i was little :)

  • I can say with utmost certainty that I would not be the person I am today were it not for the disney movies made during this time period. Hercules, Mulan, Aladdin; they shaped my character.

  • I don't think the most liked comments would be as epic without this music playing in the background.

  • art

  • The wonderful thing about this movie is that not only does he fall in love and decide to stay on earth, but his intentions for being a hero change too. In the beginning he just wanted to fit in, but it's like he began to realize that he didn't need to fit in to be something special; He just needed to be himself and stand out. This movie had some of the most amazing messages that so many kids these days need to here. It's too bad disney doesn't make such inspirational movies anymore:(

  • Old Disney songs were the BOMB. Even Alan Menken lost his touch; the songs in Tangled were cute but really forgetable. 90s soundtracks forever!

  • Comment removed

  • @randombeautyguru2001 yup and go back to racism?? -.-

  • Do you remember wanting to run through the plains of Africa with Simba? Swing through the jungle with Tarzan? Go to the enchanted castle with Belle? Go to the ball with Cinderella? Ride a magic carpet with Aladdin? Save China with Mulan?Shrink to toy size to play with Buzz and Woody? Turn into mer-people and go under the sea with Ariel?

re-post this comment and maybe Disney will see it and get their heads on straight

  • sounds kinda like michael w smith?

  • I am awe struck every single time I listen to this song.

  • @murphy54000 Same happened with mine.

I'm 17 and still have all the Disney videos from my childhood despite the fact that most of them are so worn out and broken from being played so much. I just can't bring myself to get rid of them,

  • @YourSweetOblivion I love it when little kids think they're old. I still have the vhs cases for every disney movie released post 1980.

  • if only classic disney repeated itself... forget the new crap.

  • love it!

  • this song makes me cry ; 3;

  • im seriosly sure thats scamps voice of lady and the tramp 2!!!!!! D: :D

  • 56 people didn't go the distance.

  • 0:46

I, for one, cheer when I see that face.

  • @YourFaceWillDie468 That makes two of us!

  • This vid is great!! I love musical theatre so this is an audition piece that I use!!

  • This was my high school graduation song which was today :)

  • i don't like how Disney now is very Amish (see 123shup.webs.com). Back in the day, Disney was so Pope (also see 123shup.webs.com).

PIXAR can suck it! Toy Story was a decent enough story to stand on it's own.

  • 56 people don't want to go the distance.

  • this song colours of the wind from pocahontas and you'll be in my heart from tarzan are the best of the best i love disney movies!

  • This song definitely applies to a plethora of hopes and aspirations that we might have. Among them fame and recognition, earning respect, winning that coveted prize, and simply just making through by giving it your all. Some have complained about how two-dimensional the late Disney Renaissance (90's) became, but it's simply reaching out to generations old and new, delving deep into what we want and feel and hope for. Hercules finely demonstrates this need...and please excuse my corniness. :D

  • As one of the suggested videos on the right, they have Miley Cyrus' "Party in the U.S.A." that makes me so sad! It might be Disney Channel, but it is NOT true Disney <3
