Very nice video...I really liked it a lot! The only criticism I have is that the photo you used for "Woodstock" was not from the original '69 show which was being referenced in the song, but a photo from the 1994 anniversary show instead (which is the one I was actually at, so I didn't REALLY mind). ;) Really great job, though! :)

@misanthrodee U2 is a band and also a plane. In the song billy joel is referring to the U2 incident. Soviet Union shot down a U.S spy plane know as a U-2 occured during the 1960s.

@misanthrodee No it was a spy plane that Soviet Union shot down causing a huge that was already strain relationship between the 2 countries, also strain the relationship with Pakistan because USA use them as a base to fly the spyplanes around Soviet Union. The pilot later was exchange for Rudolf Abel, the KGB russian spy caught by the FBI.

@NoMorThanMost In misanthrodee's defence, most lyric websites have U2 (band) instead of U-2 (the plane). So it would be perfectly reasonable for one to think Billy Joel was referring to the band, considering they formed in '76 and this song was released in '89. I wasn't even aware it was also a plane until I saw this. No need to call any one a retard.

Thanks for sharing the video. I guess I wasn't too original in the posted video, "40 Years of History in 3 minutes". It's a similar idea of flashing back through events between 1971-2011, edited tightly to The Beatles' GET BACK and GLASS ONION, while also revisiting The Beatles' rooftop performance and some 8mm film antics of the time. Did you know.... that Billy Joel actually has to look out into the audience to find someone that is singing along in order to sing this song at his concerts? Out of all the songs he has created, this is the one he has the most trouble with remembering. (also, he made another version of the song with events in Texas history.)
