Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
Spending the early 90s in college at U NC, obviously they were a staple of college radio. I only wonder what happened to Johnny Quest after the accident. Two great bands.
I love thos band, this song and the album which showed how brilliant these talented guys are. Relating to the Connells..does anyone know what happened to the wonderful video someone made up for "Set The Stage"??? I loved that creative video showing this cute character plugged into the wall and longingly wanting and trying to get out of the window. The video is gone and wish it was still on You Tube.
Used to catch them in Myrtle Beach at the Purple Gator and Afterdeck back in the day. One of my all time favorite bands. Hope the boys are doing well.
One of the ultimate club bands. There was nothing like hearing them live at a venue where you could literally reach out and touch them. Fortunately for their fans, they never got too big so that they would be forced to play stadiums.............
if you liked connells, you should hunt down a copy of lifeboat, the s/t lp from north carolina's lifeboat. it's a great 1985 album. the connells were so good live. saw them in charleston, sc, back in '89.

Yeah, exactly twenty years ago, maybe to the month, I bought this one and had a few prior ones (Fun and Games). Saw them a couple of times! Great memories!! Go Indies!
HaHa....Archers of LOAD....that's awesome...if I was them, I would switch between usage of LOAD, and LoaF...like maybe on the weekends, or for holidays, etc.
hahay...listening to music such as these makes me feel nostalgic....music in the early and mid 90's, really cool sounds...the band's front man appeared in the movie"Bandwagon"...^-^
Blame the music industry , If the return in accounts is small,it doesn't matter how great the talent, but hey thank goodness, for youtube to harness all the music we love and put it out there to enjoy and compare with todays unrelenting void of trite shite.Kids,we need a new music revolution,it's about time, bring on the Damned!
@castertunes1967 : 20 years old maybe not to the exact date, but it was a 1990 release on TVT records. Let's hear it for southern indie bands from the 90s.
The MTV logo just makes me smile, it brings me back to a time when I was young and my dad let me watch Beavis and Butthead and everything was right in my world, and MTV played good music like this.
Too bad they got fucking ass fast, and now real MTV is consigned to a sub-channel (MTV Two).
Backstreet Boys are the first "official" on June 6 there's a rumor going around that the Connells may do an unofficial soft opening on June 4. I have seen nothing official to confirm that though.
The Connells were one of the great bands in the 80's that were played on college radio. Now the music coming out is mostly c(rap). Every time I see the Jonas brothers I want to shoot my
"She was a bad dancer until she learned to shimmy." The very first time this pure pop gem came out of my speakers I... Had never heard anything like it, and haven't since. Long live TC.
I had the good fortune to have played both Jimmy and Betty in this video. I was a very young actor and it was some of the best fun I ever had in my career!! These guys were awesome to work with and the director on this is Marc Pellington, very accomplished now.
I remember watching this video from taping 120 Minutes. As an impressionable 19 yr old kid watching this I definitely remember seeing you in this video. Your eyerolls are etched in my memory! Take care.
They played a show at my high school in in 91 and two bands at the school opened. They were such cool guys. Our student pres at the time was a big fan of them and spent the remaining class surplus on it.
They were big in the South. They were so normal. They didn't act like "rock stars'.They would have beer with fans before their shows. The Connells rock.
I didn't hear of the Connells until 74-75 came out. You never really heard the Connells name here in Ireland or saw these videos on TV. I bought Ring at the time, and even now still listen to and love it.
These guys are so under-rated, what a band!
I'd love to get more albums from them though... may get scouting on the internet or somewhere to see if I can pick up all their albums
The best times ever! Just divorced and lost everything. I ended up going to ODU in Norfolk without a care in the world. Great band, awesome memories. Listened to 93.7 The Coast! Whatever happened to that radio station?
Brings back memories. They rock! I was big into Sex Police (John Plymale and Norwood) Also Queen Saturday, and Dillon Fence. The good ole days. Mostly at the Mad Monk- Wilmington NC.
great band broughton 88 ncsu 88-92... saw them many times ....remember also johnny quest ... the sex police..they played our sober graduation party from high school project graduation .. monster parties on frat court..

Thank you very much for being a fan.
