The Mosler is a thinly disguised race car, if we are going that route then there are loads of European manufacturers who could challenge it - Gumpert, Koenigsegg, Mclaren, Lotus, Aerial, Radical, Noble - all road legal and a quicker than the Mosler round a track. "Normal" US road cars such as the Corvette get destroyed on the track by European opposition, check out the Top Gear laptop times, the corvette is 9 seconds a lap slower than the fastest car.

I used to take my lightweight turbo 4 to the track.
Now I've got a 600cc bike. Bikes are easy to work on, just change the oil and filter, clean the chain, get good tyres, easy. Once you get the front/rear preload balanced right, its then all up to rider skill. The skill development on the bike keeps you challenged and is fun, unless you're like Rossi and just play.
Bikes also make you think about life alot. Take it easy.

@dacreepa2 It's not a kit car. It is made entirely by Mosler to be a track car with just enough health-and-safety to make it road legal. It is so fast and capable, that it has been banned in races across the world. I fully admit that it lacks the desirability of a Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini or Aston Martin, but it wasn't designed to be a supercar, just a blisteringly fast track attacker (think of it as an American version of the Gumpert Apollo).
I really like the Mosler, it's light enough that it hasn't lost the essence of what a race car is about and it looks really nice. I'd like to see the photon race against the Radical SR8.
@IonicRipper It was just for that show. Michale Shcumacher is a big tall guy, but this stig is short and smaller. I forgot the last stig's name, but after he revealed his identity, he was fired. I think the identity of the stig must always remain a mystery.

I used to take my lightweight turbo 4 to the track.
Now I've got a 600cc bike. Bikes are easy to work on, just change the oil and filter, clean the chain, get good tyres, easy. Once you get the front/rear preload balanced right, its then all up to rider skill. The skill development on the bike keeps you challenged and is fun, unless you're like Rossi and just play.
Bikes also make you think about life alot. Take it easy.
Give it some Tiff.

@dacreepa2 It's not a kit car. It is made entirely by Mosler to be a track car with just enough health-and-safety to make it road legal. It is so fast and capable, that it has been banned in races across the world. I fully admit that it lacks the desirability of a Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini or Aston Martin, but it wasn't designed to be a supercar, just a blisteringly fast track attacker (think of it as an American version of the Gumpert Apollo).

As Ben Collins is now on Fifth Gear he was set a load of challenges and had to go head to head against Tiff Needell and Jason Plato and they both beat Ben Collins in every challange.

yeah, all right, it´s fast..but it´s nothing special or innovative...look close enough, and you´ll see a corvette, a pagani zonda and a ferrari 430...the bodywork is nothing near "unique". and when you visit the constructors website, they have a lil video, showing the new model and the testdriver, really got the nerve, to say, that this is the only public road racecar...pagani, mc laren f1, enzo...they wish...my 350 z is faster...and that is far from a supercar...
