  • take those ticks off!

  • @gorilladurham i tried taking them of but, it was like it was super glued.

  • i caught one by a man made forest while we were choping down trees, its female, bout half an inch has no ticks,is this good or bad?

  • @zero4430 They won't always have ticks on them. The ones I would always catch as a kid never had any. Although, I suppose it could depend on where you found them. I'm not sure, as I am not an expert.

  • rub there blue bellys and they platy dead and just lay there as if sleeping, no joke man, try it.

  • zzzzzooop! right back in there.....haha

  • i love catching them. they usually have tics.

  • 2 dicks hahaha

  • females dont have blue u fen tard $h** box uuu

males are the only one with blue retard

  • @megastarwarsnerd2890 Who's calling who a retard? Both males AND females have the blue bellies. It just isn't too terribly common in females. Everybody that keeps Western Fence Lizards know this by experience. One surefire way to determine if a lizard is male or female, is to look underneath the base of the tail and look for 'post-anal scales', which are two symmetrical scales near the cloaca. If they're big, male. if they're small/normal size, female.

Be a little nicer next time, 'retard'.

  • how do you know if its male or female

  • i always use to catch them i live in reno nevada then he deatined like one male and femeale n they mated

  • you fucking wuss. I use my hand to catch these

  • @gavain788 Don't call him a wuss, wuss. It's not a matter of what's gross or not. It's a WHOLE lot easier to use a noose. The lizards don't care about that object closing in on them until it's too late, therefore noosing is a much easier method. If you use your hands, they can very easily get scared and run away from you. Especially when the terrain favors the lizard in a way you can't pursue it.

  • @gavain788 same

  • Oh yeah, I love to catch lizards like that. I've caught lizards there, in fact. But I use a tall piece of grass and make a loop in the end. When I was a kid we used to catch lizards and have our dad put a hot pin on the ticks to get them out, then we'd release the lizards. It's fun how they get docile when you stroke their bellies.

Whoa! I never saw those extra male parts! That's amazing.

  • I have one and i can tell u that he's not so cute that this one

  • Poor lizard got fondled.

  • shup right back in there lol

  • Wuss, I catch them with my hands.

  • yah me to!

  • @gavain788 i do to

  • A male fence lizard, along with the rest of the sceloporus species, has two enlarged scaled behind the cloaca.

Color is impossible to determine the sex in most cases. Sometimes you will find females with intense colors, and males with faint color. Color intensity also changes with mood.

  • wow thanks so much. but how do you tell if you have a male or female when its not breeding season for the lizards?
