@cheeringsquad I've got to agree with you, establishing that there were contradictory or inconsistent gospels included in the bible, and then justifying their suppression because of it is a bit dishonest. I can see where he's coming from though, is he not a priest himself? He'd obviously have had a congregation to go back to after this aired, and of course higher ups within his Church to answer to. It's more the religious suppression of non religious texts and art that annoys me the most.

And that's something I don't understand at all with Christians and the Jewish Testiment. Why is it that they claim to value it as something most sacred, yet at the same time discard it. It's almost as if Jesus actually was trying to tare everyone away from the the Law and into one of a detached design. Which is makes it even more confusing if you also bare in mind that Jesus himself clearly stated in all four Gosples that he "had come to enforce that Law than to render it invalid" to paraphrase.

And that's something I don't understand at all with Christians and the Jewish Testiment. Why is it that they claim to value it as something most sacred, yet at the same time discard it. It's almost as if Jesus actually was trying to tare everyone away from the the Law and into one of a detached design. Which is makes it even more confusing if you also bare in mind that Jesus himself clearly stated in all four Gosples that he "had come to enforce that Law than to render it invalid" to paraphrase.

It's fascinating to study the actual history behind the formation of various religions (Christianity or any other). The more you learn and understand, the easier it is to clearly see how any religion is strictly a cultural construct of people, rather than having any divine origins.

Islam beautifully recconsiles all these controvercies, you don't have to reject the God of Old testament, and you don't have to raise some body above their status. A God's justice and love are equal with each other, in perfect harmony.

but fear nonetheless... I have not found fear to be useful for a long time, a short time maybe, but you eventually have to change it.
LOVE in the other hand will always receive LOVE in return...do I make sense.

Exactly. The way how I see it, fear is fear and love is love.
Though, what I think the Christians are trying to say with God being a figure of both love & fear is that, as many have said, like a parent/child relationship. The child both loves and fears thier parents because they know that if they do good, they are rewarded and if they do bad they are punished.
Though, some of these punishments in the Bible are rather disturbing and are definately in the fear of terror... :/

We are now becoming concious beings of where we are and who we are, and very soon many of the Bible text that don't make a lot of sense will come to be. And so focused we'll be on looking for a huge sign in the sky not realizing that we are in the middle of it.
That is why it is so important to separate LOVE from fear in everything we do and say, and give it back to its owner: LOVE for GOD(or prime creator), and fear to ???. "Give to Ceasars what's Ceasars", right?

Paul was not a prophet and while his vadility I am still reasearching I dont see why this makes him not worthy of repent and forgiveness and being spoken to from the heavens. Mohammed and his Apostles hands were not strangers to blood, no matter how you justify it, and they had some odd behaviours (inclding sexual etc..). Moses himself commited murder and sin but was forgiven. Lets do some good research rather than judging characters prior to change and conversion.

Paul teachings cancelled the very teachings of Jesus - teachings based on Torah.
Jesus taught worship one God - Paul said worship trinity God. Jesus taught lost sheeps of Israel to follow the 10 commandments for salvation yet Paul said salvation is free for all believers by virtue of crucifixtion of Jesus. Let me ask you, did anywhere in the bible Jesus himself said that belief in him is enough for salvation?
Didn't Jesus tried very hard to make his followers be pious and fear God?

I wonder why Jesus said to the father 'it is done'? Did you ever heard of the prophecy of Jesus? You ever heard of the sacrificial lamb? can you connect the pieces? The first sign was in genesis, in the passover. Someone else can pitch in on this.

Jesus salvation is not like one who cuts his hand every second and then, in Jesus' name, ask for it to be healed every single time. One must follow the ten commandments, especially the great 2 commandments jesus left us. Through jesus we can recive forgiveness of the father when one fails to live by righteouness. Forgiveness frees ones from the law in- 'should be put to death'.Jesus fufilled the law for us, this law was much needed for Gods plan. It all started with abrham to moses etc...

Paul did not say to forgive the law as in the ten commandments- but the dieary laws, civil and such others- not the laws of salvation and righteousness. One does not go to hell or gets killed for eating a piece of shrimp and nor a raped women is bound to mary her rapist etc. One is not judge by such non-moral laws.

Trinity understanding is your choice and you obviosuly do not have the open mind and heart to understand it. Its is not 3 Gods. Jesus alone wouldnt be god but part of God. If I explained this to you would you even consider it? or you want to prove me wrong? Do you wish to understand this? Not every christian,rather than no accpeting,dont feel the need to follow or stress this doctrine and subject. They pray in Jesus name as he adviced but don't kneel and say 'all hail Jesus Human GOD'.

Jesus did not come to rule- but to teach and fufilled the law (salvation). Believing in the salvation is not enough if one does not accept his teachings as well. Its all salvation- that is why they called him the saviour before he was born in the flesh. He is also called Gods lamb, because he is Gods sacarficial lamb. If one focuses and lives like his teachings one will achieve forgiveness and salvation.

Yes he did. Fear is respect, love and devotion. One should fear to be seprated and abandoned by God- that is serious hell. If you see fear only as being scared then wouldnt be easy to fear the devil and ally with him so you dont fear the one who temps you and will make you his slave?

Actually Jesus said that piety came from his love you couldnt earn it is a gift.Jesus also said that those who know and love him are one with him.Basically the trinity is limited but what Jesus taught was union between those who believe and God.He also said they are his friends.I dont see where fear fits in.

BTW, "I am the way the truth and the light and no man come to the father but by me." described Jesus as a Prophet/Messenger of God - nothing more. Otherwise, he would say "I am God, I mean Son of God, my Father is God the Father - somewhere in heaven". LOL.
