What a joy, look how xyz is jumping, we dance with the tamburine and the triccheballacche. Mr Antonio now is gonna collapse cuz his belly is a lil heavy, he says the dance is for the youngsters and now he eats to macaroni. Rosa stop as it's known you suffer from head spinning and if you dance this tarantella your brain will spin, too. Mr Vincenzo be quiet, you wanna go ahead but you're going
@turuanu backward, you have drunk a bit of wine and you are making a mess. Mrs Amalia, age 60, but she seems only 20, dances jumps, jumps dances, aaah she stepped on my callus! Come on guys, we're gonna keep on till 1am, let's go girls, let's dance this tarantella. The last one escapes me, it's a list of instruments. Oh man, somebody had already translated this before me! Oh well...

Jammo bello giuvinotto ca' facimmo l'una 'e notte, jammo bello figliulella abballamo sta tarantella. Tammuriello e tammurrelle scetavajasse e putipù dint'a chesta tarantella tenite na giuventù....
@thesacco94 Do you wanna know it better than me? I'm from Naples. Italian and Neapolitan are two DIFFERENT languages! In this case the song is sung in neapolitan language, like many other classical songs! If you wanna know other about this... contact me! :)
the song is from naples and is italian, the singing isn't though. in fact, this is the first time i had heard it with singing. i guarantee that the song is italian though.
@thesacco94 Listen... I'm from Naples, the song is in NEAPOLITAN LANGUAGE! If you want I put the liyrics of this song! It's Neapolitan, Italian is very very different!!
well i did more research like you told me and i believe YOU have made a terrible mistake. Search "napoletan ice cream" in google, then search "neapolitan ice cream"...
This is the unfortunate problem when the mass media gets hold of foreign words and makes it populour in the wrong way.
The correct word should be napoletan.
The Rugby sport in Italy is written "rugby" but pronounced "Ragby"
Soccer is called foorball.
I've tried "expresso coffee" in England and in Egypt and it had nothing to do do with the original expresso coffee, even though at heathrow airport I found an acceptable drink that could pass.
@thesacco94 I can't believe I'm having this conversation. Naples is in Italy, things pertaining to Naples are called Neapolitan. Italian is the official language of Italy, but in various regions they speak French, German, Slovenian, Albanian, Greek, Catalan, then I recently discovered that Wikipedia exists in Neapolitan and Sicilian. When I was going to school they were just dialects. Anyway this song is sung in Neapolitan, the language of Naples, which is in Italy. Forget the ice cream joke.
You are talking with Angelo from Naples, I am Italian from Milan, i speak Italian and I have quite a bit of difficulty of understanding many "Italian" dialects.
Dialect variation in Italy are quite large respect to variations you could expect in America, and in many cases are so different that they could be classified another language.
Spanish is closer to Italian than many dialects are to Italian.
@iLuvHardStyle Napoli is in Italy... but you know, if you don't know the things, it's better if you don't speak! Every italian region has his own dialect! Napoli has the neapolitan language!
@iLuvHardStyle Don't worry man! :) In Naples is spoken a language very very different to the italian! For the accent and for the grammar! Neapolitan grammar is really difficult to learn! :)
@iLuvHardStyle The official language of Italy it's the italian, which everybody speak, from the north to the south Italy. Every Italian city, has a dialect much different to the italian. For example, in neapolitan there are many words derivated from the spanish, the catalan, french and arabic. The grammar is very different too. The accent is different for every city. Neapolitan accent and pronunce is very difficult. If you're not born here is impossible to learn it! :)
@ANGELONAPOLI94 oh i see...well i learned one thing in life..nothing is impossible! hard, but not impossible..I've been checking it out and comparing some words and sentences with other italian regions and i see what you mean now. I've had the same problem with learning spanish except that there is a bit bigger difference in italian regions compared to original italian language then in latin america so yes, it is harder to learn but not impossible.. :)
@iLuvHardStyle It's not impossible to learn the grammar... if someone wants, he can learn all the languages he wants! ;)
The problem is the accent, that no one can have if it's not born in Naples! :) If you wanna know more about neapolitan and his accent... just asking me! :)
actually yes it is italian because naples is a city in Italy.
so ur actually contradicting urself when u tell ppl it isnt italian. i was wrong to think it was sicilian and u were stupid to say it wasnt italian LOL@U
go to wikipedia and search WHERE IS NAPLES LOCATED!
@ANGELONAPOLI94 pretend?? u idiot i am italian u dumbshit! and the dude singing in this song is infact neapoletano i know this coz my aunty married as napoletano so i agree the person singing is neapoletano and i also said yes the song is napoloetano when i corrected myself BUT u told ppl THIS SONG ISNT ITALIAN ITS NEAPOLTAN ...then i sent u a link to wikipedia explaining in black and white that NAPLES IS IN ITALY sop u made urself look like a dickby saying its not italian when infact...IT IS

I have the sheet music to this song, there are no words, and the music is classified traditional, so the the author is unknown.
"Tarantella Napolitana" is a genre, they should have given it a better identification to distinguish it from the genre.
Time 6/8, 136 BPM,
Key signature: G major (only F#)
quite easy to play by ear if you start on E
Chords are easy to place they are: Em, Am, B7, D7, G

Oh well...

Jammo bello, jammo bello
abballammo sta tarantella
cu' na coppia e ancora n'ata
e facimmece sta ballata.
Che priezza, che alleria,
quanta zumpe Nennella mia,
abballammo ticchete e tacchete
c''o tammurriello e c''o triccabballacco.

Onn'Antonio mo' se scanza
ca' le pesa nu poco 'a panza,
dice ca 'o ballo è p''e gugliune
e isso se magna sti maccarune.
Rosa fermateve pecchè se sape
che a vuje ve gira nu poco 'a capa,
e si abballate sta tarantella
ve gira pure la cirivella.
ANGELONAPOLI94 2 years ago 3
On Vicienzo stateve quieto,
vulite i' annanze e invece jate areto,
avite vippeto nu poco 'e vino
e state facenno sta diece 'e ammuina.
Onn'Amalia, sissantanne,
pare ca tene sulo vintanne,
balla e zompa, zompa e abballa.
Ah, m'ha scamazzate nu callo!

@ANGELONAPOLI94 sooo, where is Napoli? In italy...
sabuesooo 1 year ago
@sabuesooo Yes I know that Napoli is in Italy! So...??
ANGELONAPOLI94 1 year ago
@ANGELONAPOLI94
no, it IS Italian. Napoletana is from Napoli not Neapoltan. I just did a massive assignment at school on this.
thesacco94 1 year ago
@thesacco94 Do you wanna know it better than me? I'm from Naples. Italian and Neapolitan are two DIFFERENT languages! In this case the song is sung in neapolitan language, like many other classical songs! If you wanna know other about this... contact me! :)
ANGELONAPOLI94 1 year ago
@ANGELONAPOLI94
the song is from naples and is italian, the singing isn't though. in fact, this is the first time i had heard it with singing. i guarantee that the song is italian though.
thesacco94 1 year ago
@thesacco94 Listen... I'm from Naples, the song is in NEAPOLITAN LANGUAGE! If you want I put the liyrics of this song! It's Neapolitan, Italian is very very different!!
ANGELONAPOLI94 1 year ago
@thesacco94 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Well, keep researching. Begin by excluding ice cream.
turuanu 1 year ago
@turuanu
no, search "napoletan ice cream" in google, then search "neapolitan ice cream"... i think you have made a terrible mistake.
thesacco94 1 year ago
@turuanu
well i did more research like you told me and i believe YOU have made a terrible mistake. Search "napoletan ice cream" in google, then search "neapolitan ice cream"...
thesacco94 1 year ago
@thesacco94

Forget the ice cream joke.
turuanu 1 year ago
@turuanu
that is what i have been saying from the start, it IS Italian! Not language, the song.

@thesacco94 says "@ANGELONAPOLI94
no, it IS Italian....."

@ANGELONAPOLI94 and where is napoli? :D
iLuvHardStyle 1 year ago
@iLuvHardStyle Napoli is in Italy... but you know, if you don't know the things, it's better if you don't speak! Every italian region has his own dialect! Napoli has the neapolitan language!
ANGELONAPOLI94 1 year ago
@ANGELONAPOLI94 oh, didn't know that...the whole language is different or just accent?? anyway, it's a nice song i like it.. peace ;)
iLuvHardStyle 1 year ago
@iLuvHardStyle Don't worry man! :) In Naples is spoken a language very very different to the italian! For the accent and for the grammar! Neapolitan grammar is really difficult to learn! :)
ANGELONAPOLI94 1 year ago
@ANGELONAPOLI94 sounds cool ... but how do you communicate with those who speak regular italian then if your language is so much different?? :)
iLuvHardStyle 1 year ago
@iLuvHardStyle The official language of Italy it's the italian, which everybody speak, from the north to the south Italy. Every Italian city, has a dialect much different to the italian. For example, in neapolitan there are many words derivated from the spanish, the catalan, french and arabic. The grammar is very different too. The accent is different for every city. Neapolitan accent and pronunce is very difficult. If you're not born here is impossible to learn it! :)
ANGELONAPOLI94 1 year ago
@ANGELONAPOLI94 oh i see...well i learned one thing in life..nothing is impossible! hard, but not impossible..I've been checking it out and comparing some words and sentences with other italian regions and i see what you mean now. I've had the same problem with learning spanish except that there is a bit bigger difference in italian regions compared to original italian language then in latin america so yes, it is harder to learn but not impossible.. :)
iLuvHardStyle 1 year ago
@iLuvHardStyle It's not impossible to learn the grammar... if someone wants, he can learn all the languages he wants! ;)
The problem is the accent, that no one can have if it's not born in Naples! :) If you wanna know more about neapolitan and his accent... just asking me! :)
