  • THIS IS FROM DEAD GIRL, BITCHES. _|_

  • I have to say that 50/50 is one of the best movies I have ever seen, and I am not afraid to admit that I cried...

  • felt so sad during this scene.

  • @sahlay me too... Fell in love with this song when I heard it in the movie.

  • is this what hipsters listen to?

  • @IMAGO0N not anymore I'm guessing. lol.

  • I love 50/50 and I love shazam...great song

  • It was in The Nines first!

  • @mikiep4 who cares?

  • @XDani278X Not you, so.........

  • (That's a good thing.)

  • This song is the best thing since Ginger Ale.

  • For a simple song .... 50/50 gave this melody a haunting and an overwhelming feeling that just wont contain inside my heart ....feel the same ..??

  • @demixes87 I completely agree. Just the weight of this song fell upon me, yet it lifted me up like i was slowly ascending into someplace else. And then I was right there on the bed with him, hugging my mom. THAT is what I call a movie with an amazing soundtrack.

  • I almost lost it when this song came on and I never cry during movies. So moving.

  • just saw the movie 50/50, had to come find this song.

  • my best friend apparently loves this song... but he wasn't there for me when i needed him the most. i guess it's apt that the band's name is 'liars.' :I

  • "hey...i know it's a little hard to follow everything that's going on, but i just want you to know that i love you, very much"

  • "Hey... I know it's a little hard to follow everything's that's going on... But I just want you to know that I love you, very much"

    "Okay...

    Okay."

Dear god that part killed me. Amazing song.

  • @DrDruza Seriously. It's so sad seeing that scene. The dad got me more than the mom did just cause he had no idea what was going on and this person in the hospital he doesn't know is being so loving and caring but he just doesn't know what is going on yet he still struggles to understand. So sad

  • cannot stop listening to this song....literally over and over again...everyday...whats wrong with me ?

  • I made a cover today of this song after seeing 50/50. It's on my channel if anyone's interested.

  • deadgirl :)

  • Evan Rachel Wood sent me here.

  • lik dis if u cry evertim

  • God! This song is so sad but so damn good!! I want this song playing as I lay on my death bed.

  • y por cierto que buen video,me gusto mucho los calzones de Angus Andrew

  • esta canción es hermosa, quisiera tener alguien a mi lado para dedicársela

  • I first heard this song in the movie "The Nines".

  • epic song. shit video. Thumbs Up?

  • @blueandgreenslacks Watch out guys we have an angry hipster over here haha

  • i cant tell what would feel better. to be the one willing to say theses words to somebody, or to be the one receiving such words.

  • why the guy wears pink skirt?

  • This video blows. Not nearly adequate enough for the music.

  • "...how do you know I won't wake up during surgery...or if I wake up at all....mom."

    T_T

  • @eddieyyy3

I emofagged hard during that part

  • @eddieyyy3 man I shed some heavy manly tears at that part.. really made me think about my mom as well. ;)

  • @eddieyyy3 I have to admit after he said that I started crying like a bitch. and Im a 20 yr old guy. 50/50 was amazing.

  • @mennaknight you are a 20. I'm 25 and I cried.

  • @eddieyyy3

    I cried :'|

  • @eddieyyy3 one of the best scenes in the movies

  • love this music...

  • I originally heard this song in the movie The Nines and loved it. After hearing it again in 50/50 I had to look it up. Such a beautiful simplistic piece.

  • i actually did drop lots of tears on that scene no kidding it touched me and also i remembered my mother who died from cancer just my advice to you guys is to be good to your mother and don't be a dick to her like Katherine said to Adam on the movie because you might loser someday so show her that you love her before she goes away.

  • great sONG! it`s beautiful =)

  • definitely movie of the year, just saw it second time

  • 50/50= best movie of the year

  • i was speechless listening to the song last night during the film 50-50...really enjoyed and travelled with it...dedicated to all the broken hearts...

  • Thumbs up if the nines brought you here

  • What album is this from?

  • @maddalff Drum's Not Dead

  • I haven't seen 50/50, but I'm so fucking glad this song is getting some attention. Any time I thought about my mum who died of cancer when I was 15, I would listen to this. The words didn't necessarily fit, but the tone and the eager hope and warmth in it always kept me right. Truly brilliant song, album and band.

  • I just saw 50/50. Great Movie, Great song!! cheers!

  • yes, i never saw 50/50, but this song is in "the nines" and thats a pretty good one too

  • Thumbs up if you liked this song before 50/50 made liking this song cool! :D

  • I have never in my life been so emotional over a movie, and ive seen alot of movies. The scene where adam has his surgery was the most beautiful scene in cinema ive ever seen in my lifetime. Im a 19 year old male and im not ashamed to admit ive never cried so hard over a movie before.

  • @SuperNaturalPiggy I agree and I am 47.

  • @SuperNaturalPiggy I think I did actually but this scene comes pretty close...great fucking movie.

  • The scene in 50/50 with this song is so powerful

  • 50/50? deadgirl?

did no one else come here from hearing this song in "the nines"????

  • @firebaby7 thats how i found it =P

  • @firebaby7

I did back then and I am back again after 5050

  • 50/50

  • I came her because Florence Welsh from Florence and the Machine talked about Liars. I just recognized it from 50/50 because of the comments.

  • Thumbs up if the movie DEADGIRL brought you here!

  • Thumbs up if your taste in music brought you here and you've never heard of 50/50!

  • @gonzologic, Who cares if anyone found this through a movie or not. It's a great song. Just cause you heard it before someone else doesn't make your opinion special smh.

  • @gonzologic then you're missing out on a great movie with an extraordinary soundtrack.

  • totally reminds me of Spiritualized

  • Thumbs up if you knew The Liars before you saw 50/50!

  • KEXP and John in the morning brought me here. What a beautiful song.

  • Youtube brought me here.

  • Hearing this in 50/50 was incredible. It's always been one of my most favorite songs, and I listen to it every time I'm going through a rough part in my life. The director could not have picked a more perfect song for the situation, given how much it resonates with my life. As soon as I heard the first note, I immediately began crying. I am so glad that because of that movie, more people will get to hear the song, regardless of when I heard it. Hopefully it will help them as its helped me.

  • Good music taste brought me here -_-'

  • i heard this first on the movie Dead Girl, it was great in 50/50 too

  • I can't hear this song and not get that creepy, disturbing feeling you get at the end of Pop Skull...

  • ive seen this 3 times now, once by questionable content, then thom yorke, now 50/50

  • QC brought me here.

  • DeadGirl brought me here.

  • Thom Yorke brought me here

  • 50/50 brought me here

one of the most emotional scenes I've ever seen....i was tearing up...so close to bursting out crying

  • I may have been the only person who went crazy when this came on during 50/50. so on that note, thumbs up if PITCHFORK brought you here.

  • a web comic brought me here

  • @omedicius questionable content???? me too!

  • @SheWasBornToExplore haha thats the one!

  • @omedicius Ditto! QC # 564, in particular?

  • I've heard this song in the SMALL Ryan Reynolds film "The Nines" but 50/50 is what truly brought me here

  • the best song i've heard in a very long time

  • Thumbs up if you were the only one in the movie theater that knew a good band without seeing a movie. Good movie though, amazing band.

  • i got this from 50/50 kind of a drama with splats of comedy very sad though good movie though

  • @anuenuexx I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!!!!!!!!! ME AND MY FRIEND WERE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME THING YOU JUST WROTE AFTER WE WATCHED THE MOVIE. IT IS VERY SAD, & TOUCHING BECAUSE THAT HAPPENS TO PEOPLE ALL THE TIME :(

  • 50/50 brought me to this amazing song!!! & I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!<3 GREAT MOVIE VERY SAD/CUTE/FUNNY! I watched it last night<3 :') :'(

  • 50/50 brought me here as well depressing as shit but great movie all around recommend for every to see!

  • 50/50 brought me here! Great movie!

  • never thought i would say this, but that drum is the cutest thing ever.

  • This song in 50/50 = perfection. I don't EVER and I mean EVER get choked up during a movie. But the scene when Adam is about to go into surgery did. I think it's because it is reality- someone goes through this horrible experience somewhere in the world, and alot of people can relate to it. And Joseph Gordon Levitt expression when the bed was rolling away from his mother was heart-breaking. I can't get it out of my head and it's been like 24 hours... Man,this movie was great in so many ways.

  • @anuenuexx YES! i started getting teary eyed throughout the movie, like the parts with the breakdown...and when the old man dies.....but that scene when he's about to go into the operation room had tears literally streaming down my face.

  • just lovely :')

  • Thumbs up if 50/50 made you discover this band. This song is as good as that movie, if not better.

I KNEW when I heard this song in the soundtrack that I loved The Liars already.

I've had this song on straight repeat for the last hour. Omg. So flipping good.

  • holy moly effin shit stick, it feels like i just got the worst sunburn in the world then put cool cool aloe vera all over my burnt body and basked in the pain, and the relief.

  • I can't believe that this song, my favorite song on Drums Not Dead was in 50/50. When you listen to Drums Not Dead it's such a chaotic journey that eats your soul alive, then all of a sudden, the soul eating demons disappear and you're suddenly graced with this song, which feels like a thousand angels breasts placed ever so gently upon your face as you first wake up in the morning.

  • This song went so well with the scene from 50/50.

  • When this song came on it made me CRY. Perfect placement <3

  • I discovered Liars thanks to 50/50. What an amazing and emotional movie. Many funny parts but also deeply emotional at times. Me crying was not unexpected (I cry from The Lion King) but 50/50 made my boyfriend cry... <3

  • 50/50 :((

  • This song and the scene it played over in 50/50 made me cry so hard

  • @iRhyse i was getting close to it in parts myself lol

  • Just bc a note is played consistently doesn't mean its a "response" to "Maps", or anything else for that matter. Good song, though.

  • Well everyone already beat me to saying this. But this song fit the scene in 50/50 beautifully. I had chills. That movie was amazing. I came so close to crying in that movie for the first time ever. I expected a funny movie, which it was. But I got a deeply moving, extremely motivating film.

  • Thumbs up if 50/50 brought you here!

  • 50/50 Brought me here!

    Adam's day of surgery.

  • As someone who has had nearly inoperable surgery on a tumor (in my brain, not my spine), I pretty much broke down while hearing this during the surgery scene in 50/50.

    Stunning.

  • @ZyxthePest That was such a good movie. I don't know you, but I'm glad to hear you survived.

  • thank god for shazam :P

  • interesting song not that but not that good either =/

  • a haunting song.. its haunting my soul - and i like it!

  • Quite strange, can someone explain the end of deadgirl? is joann now the dead girl? she didn't even got bit

  • remember in deadgirl when that guy shit out his intestines.

  • it DOES sound like a response to Maps. That one note that lingers throughout the song sounds like the same note that is looped on Maps.

  • This sounds like a retaliation against maps

  • They play this at the end of Deadgirl and The Nines. (Both great movies)

  • My god...my goose bumps have their own goose bumps. ahhhhhhhhhhh

  • Heard this on the movie The Nines. Seriously amazing film. Check it out.

  • pretty pretty pretty pretties for you

  • i don't find lyric :'/ i cannot sing with them :'/

  • I've known this son for awhile and I gotta say i wasn't happy when i heard this song in a movie about teenage boys raping a zombie

  • @teddysmith677

hahahahaha, thats where i heard this song too (:

    deadgirl?

i looked up good zombie movies, it was on the list, watched it on netflix, wasnt a huge fan, but it wasnt bad.

anyway, thought it was funny that i read this comment.

  • @MrMyASSumption

Same with me! I thought the premise would be that the teens find the girl, have their way with her, and the zombie infection spreads... But no... I felt a little perverted watching that movie.

  • Heard this song in the movies The Nines and then Deadgirl. Seriously check out The Nines...amazing movie!!!

  • @yourescape18 I heard this on Deadgirl and was singing it three days after. It's really haunting, but what I wanted to know was if The Nines was any good. I can easily look for the summary, I just wanted a good opinion of the movie to decide if I should watch it or not.

  • @QueenNyx Ya it was really an amazing movie. it can be confusing at times and its kinda a mind fuck but amazing! When I watched It the 2nd time I started to notice little things like that he placed 9 mouse traps and that the numbers on his licence plate on his car added up to 9 and had X and P which are 9 letters apart. It is def one of my favorite movies now. I don't know what your taste in movies is but it is really worth checkin out. If you do tell me what ya think!
