I haven't seen 50/50, but I'm so fucking glad this song is getting some attention. Any time I thought about my mum who died of cancer when I was 15, I would listen to this. The words didn't necessarily fit, but the tone and the eager hope and warmth in it always kept me right. Truly brilliant song, album and band.

Hearing this in 50/50 was incredible. It's always been one of my most favorite songs, and I listen to it every time I'm going through a rough part in my life. The director could not have picked a more perfect song for the situation, given how much it resonates with my life. As soon as I heard the first note, I immediately began crying. This song in 50/50 = perfection. I don't EVER and I mean EVER get choked up during a movie. But the scene when Adam is about to go into surgery did. I think it's because it is reality- someone goes through this horrible experience somewhere in the world, and alot of people can relate to it. And Joseph Gordon Levitt expression when the bed was rolling away from his mother was heart-breaking. I can't get it out of my head and it's been like 24 hours... When I watched It the 2nd time I started to notice little things like that he placed 9 mouse traps and that the numbers on his licence plate on his car added up to 9 and had X and P which are 9 letters apart. It is def one of my favorite movies now. I don't know what your taste in movies is but it is really worth checkin out. If you do tell me what ya think!
