Hey folks! I miss a game i played when i was young. You was at a castle, You could be a human with a sword, And a bird and a dragon i think and u was first on the floor of the castle to get to the top of the castle you had to become the bird/Dragon i dont remember what it was, Something that could fly. @marioman4351 Well for me, no platform game has ever had me literally playing it for years at a time like an RPG has done. Platormers back in the day were 2 a penny. Some were good, most were not. Length of story doesn't really matter, I was talking about games that offer a lot of replayability. Suikoden on the PS1 was really short, too short. But still one of the best RPG's ever made. I'm not sure how many times I could replay a platformer over and over again unless I was sadist.

@Jeet27 yeah, i could replay final fantasy 6 over and over, but i could do the same with super mario world. for me it really depends on gameplay, and what happens. FF7 was one of my favorites, particularly because of the motorcycle chase area.

@Jeet27 i mostly agree, rpgs are more involved with story, but so are some platformers. super paper mario for instance was a platformer but it made you think a bit, and was quite involved in the story too.

@Jeet27 Rpg's do have longer play value but even though platformers are shorter in length there are some that can be replayed over and over.Fun is ultimately what should matter though ,not length.I wouldnt limit myself to just rpgs and strategy games.Doing so is limiting overall fun.

@Jeet27 Actually you are somewhat delusional. RPGs are generally more interesting to play at first but the replay value is pretty low. I can play such wonderful platformers like: Vectorman 1&2, Contra: Hard Corps, EWJ 1&2, Doom Troopers, Blades of Vengeance, Cadash, Donald in Maui Mallard, Sonic 1,2,3 & Knuckles and many others for hours each day. Beyond Oasis & The Light Crusader - excellent RPGs but after finishing the game you don't feel like playing it again at least several months.

Can anyone help me name a game? I think it was for Sega Genesis, but you had little soldiers and you controlled each of them in a bird's eye view. You could cross streams by making them and stuff and shoot enemies. And each time you defeat a level there is cut scene where they ride helicopters or something and show more people lining up for something. Please help!
