Uh, no. I just got a new Gateway about six months ago. Goes a lot faster than a lot of PCs, but anyway, I am now a Mac user, and sorry about my last comment.

I guess they came back somehow. I remember I was trying to update a bios for a gateway and it took me to another site I could not find a bios update.

I personally think all prebuilt computers like DELL, Emachine, Gateway, HP/compaq are junk. Its cheaper to build your own and alot more options like AGP/PCI-E, Memory Expansion, Power Supply replacements. Not what the prebuilt junk has that is custom designed for each pc. When will these company's stop trying to save a $1 on everything?

This is my second DELL laptop, and my third one will be DELL! Before to speak ill of DELL, you have to inquire about bactery productor: SONY! DELL has collected and replaced for free my battery, and I can't charge DELL for this matter.

Use a desktop. Computing and being on the go DO NOT mix.

And when you buy a battery, stop being vain and cheap, there's a reason batteries can be expensive and there's a reason they are bulky.

Umm...thats really false. Mac isn't really bad. You probobly just haven't seen one since 10 years ago. I own a laptop, its better because you don't have to reboot everytime the computer freezes, on a Mac you just Force quit. In my opinion they are both equally as slow. GO LINUX!!!
