@BJrok Eric Clapton was born to an underage single mother and raised by his grandparents---whom he thought were his actual parents until he was a teenager. His grandparents encouraged his music and bought him his first guitar.
@BJrok, eh no crack man, all coke. but i can see why youd bring it up obviously cause of his addiction and so forth. clapton and duane and the rest of the guys would snort lots of coke, and lots of heroin as well unfortunately. then would take very powerful sleeping pills, combined with the coke (amphetamine that keeps up wired and awake)& lots of alcohol they would ride that effect throughout the night just jamming! lol not to mention the potent acid was absolutely everywhere in their grasp
@BJrok Actually, Eric Clapton was raised by his maternal grandparents---he didn't know that was so until he was about ten or eleven, I think. By most accounts they were extremely supportive of him.
@pomcq I bought this in 2001 for about $100, but it is hard to find now. It has 3 cds and some of the original studio notes about how they laid the tracks out. Check ebay.
Is that Bobby Whitlock on the ivories?

Soooooo slick. He's giving Pattie a head! Damn..
How on earth can 'at the time crackhead' possess, squeeze out the amount of focus to play sth like this. His genes need to be checked scientifically.
Allegedly his mom & dad weren't the type of parents you wish for but they sure gave Mr Clapton sth special to make up to it.
He ain't God but ain't human, either.
