China and Russia are aligned in international affairs from Bosnia to Sudan, with Europe and America on the other hand. The media campaigns that each side put out are regrettable with regards to Tibet. The only solution to this problem should lie with the Tibetan people. But the Tibetan exile government has no power in this struggle. The Tibetans inside Tibet have no voice. So we are subjected to this internationalization of the Tibet which China prefers as they can then avoid the real issue

No hard feelings here really. I am a Tibetan. My main concern is not religion nor culture of Tibet. MY main concern in Tibet is the equality and justice among different people in Tibet. Chinese government has been ruling Tibet for 5 decades now with discrimination and injustice toward Tibetans in their own land. You can't suppress human emotions too long. It did and it will erupt with angry and resentment toward those who are oppressors.

I agree that race chauvinism is common in Han Chinese, consciously or unconsciously. But the affirmative actions are in high gear in Tibet at least for the past 30 years. Tibetans have preferred treatments on education, tax, housing, judicial, religion, financial assistance, government over the Han Chinese. If spoiling is unfair, yes, Tibetans have been treated unfairly.

I will answer each of your claims. Education: only one underfunded university for entire Tibetan population of 6 million in an area larger than whole west Europe clearly says otherwise.

Billion dollars pouring into Tibet are benefiting Chinese migrants who hold most of the lucrative positions in Tibet. Religious institutions are controlled by Communist propaganda. These are not fair for Tibetans who have to live their every day lives with such discrimination.

Spoon feeding can only go so far. If people want to get their education from temples, they would regard more universities as "culture genocide". If people choose spiritual pleasure over material money, they would not work hard, even risk their lives for money. Temples are closely monitored, but not controlled, otherwise, how could the hundreds of monks be on the street? There are clearly culture conflicts that has nothing to do with communism.

There is not many universities, not because of lack of funding, but due to the unwillingness of chinese faculty to relocate there. It is sad that many educated Tibetans returned to become bureaucrats instead of teachers. But things are changing.
