@V3rticalShift the boss is a demon from another world who brought catherine (who is a succubus) to seduce men who have been with their girlfriends for too long so that when they cheat they break up. Also, the boss can show anyone the dreams and kill them.

How is it evil? Katherine dumped Vincent, Vincent overcomes the nightmares, and decides he wants to be with Catherine because he loves her, and would do anything to be with her. Honestly, all the true endings have their merits, but the key point is Vincent's happiness.

Considering what preceded, I considered that ending to feel right. However, the true Catherine ending, is alot more epic by itself, and pretty freakin funny, I like that ending better. But I don't think I would've enjoyed the game as much if that was my first ending. That's just me I guess, but besides both pure free and pure order, the endings are kinda blah.
