  • How do you go about learning how to do this?

I would love to learn this fine art. It's amazing.

  • armour fit for a prince...

  • Excellent, thank you.

  • wow, c'est cool de voir ça! c'est immense le travail qu'il y a derrière un morceau d'armure! Beau travail :)

  • @Heliosx15005 I'm sorry for hitting you upside your face with that sarcasm fastball. I don't remember making that comment, I was drunk. Captain save-a-hoe.

  • with music from battlestar galactica...

  • @4stomper

I was wondering...I see my girl every night at 8:30 until 12:00...we fuck almost every day. And the rest of the day (since I'm on vacation) I pass my whole day on youtube commenting videos...would you say the same shit to me?

  • This will be the first video i have ever commented on , the first i have seen worth commenting on.

It is easy to see why men of century's past could put metal workers amongst the gods, to make such beauty from blank steel with nothing but fire and sweat.

I thank you for bringing this art in to this ulgy world.

  • beautiful work

  • How do you get rid of the dimples?

  • That step that he is doing at 2:19 with the flat hammer is called planishing and it spreads out the hammer marks removing the dipples. Basically. =D

  • OUTSTANDING!

  • That's more like a sheet metal than a plate.

  • there's a difference?

  • Comment removed

  • art

  • Super travaille Je dis moi !!

Sinon quele st la musique utilisé ?

    merci

  • dad are you watching this? haha

  • Beautifully done! That cop has an amazing shape and the fluting is expertly done. But I'm curious, why did you raise it rather than dish it? It seems like way more work to raise it entirely as opposed to dishing it and then raising just the sharp peak of the cop. Indeed, much of that work can be done just as effectively cold as well. I'm interested to know; you are the master and I'm but a student still.

  • And make that for thousands of people? yeah right! lol

  • That must have taken a lot of time and patients

  • Very beautifull video, and the music too.

I really enjoyed watching the handwork.

    Regards from Spain.

  • lol, this is awsome man!!!

  • lol i thought it was a but plate that goes between your legs to your balls =P

  • Ayoye ça doit être long en sale, monter une armure complète. Chapeau!

  • imagine how awesome that must be.. you're building a suit of armor, while listening to super epic music. it's like you're bestowing some godly gift to conan the barbarian or some shit.

    awesome.

  • what kind of steel are u using?

  • You are indeed a Master! Thank you for sharing and teaching us mere mortals how it's done!

  • i couldn't work it out until i looked in the info

  • hey can you mail me(on youtube) and tell me where you live(its Alex) cuzz i once im 16 or whatever im there!

  • So simple and easy when you know how to do it. But yet impossible for the "normal" person.

There's now advanced "magical" ways, just simple hammering and that's why it's so impressive.

  • Ce que tu fais me passione j'ai 15 ans et j'aisaille de faire des choses comme toi mais le résultat est jamais le meme que toi. Tout ce que tu fais est super!

  • wow..

  • very nice

  • i bet to have this guy make me a suit of this armor it would cost a mint!

  • Hypnotic. Absolutely amazing.

BSG is a cool show too :)

  • wow!

  • A beautiful video on raising a cop... I have done this many times as an armourer over the years.

  • I think you are truely amazing..

  • Even though it's realy well done, and you are very skilled, I think I would NEVER wear something like that in battle..... not being able to move properly would be my death I think

  • Unless you were trying to pull some kung fu shit on the battle field, I don't see why that would hamper your movements at all to the point of becoming dangerous.

  • the fact that he cannot bend his arm to the max for example. maybe it's not that bad, but I'm the type who likes to be a little free of movement.

never wore armor before though, so I don't realy know

  • And you nailed it, never worn armor. Try to know a little about what you are trying to say. If you ever get a chance, you may find it's a lot less restricting than you think.

  • maybe, but it would save you form at least the 50% of thie sword hits

  • youve worn armour i can tell from your comments so dont make them

  • coooooool

  • what is the music you're using in this video i love it

  • Bear MC Creary Passacaglia from Battlestar Galactica

  • thatnk you very much for sharing this with us, it's been really helpfull for me

  • Old school skills ^^

  • this is perfect! (i think given him a right tool and material he can even craft out a Ion man suit..)

Man.. it just classic, man-made armor.

  • arghhhh that would bemy perfect job....i make chainmail quite a lot and have made a chainmail vest in abouta year :P but yeah makng plate armor would be soo great.

  • Where do you get those shaping tools from (i mean those things you put in table holes, hope you understand)?

And is it possible to shape elbows without heating, couse they always crack for me when i try making them without heating.

    Thanks in advance :)

  • Man just think how long it took those black smiths ages ago to make armor for an ENTIRE ARMY.

  • superbe!

  • Beautiful work, magnifique, in the Brazil have not this art . congratulations.

  • HOLY CRAP YOU ARE INSAIN THATS CRAZY

  • All of your videos are awesome!!! you inspire me!!!

  • Jolie pièce.

  • Merci, thank you for posting. You are a Master at your craft.

  • man if it took this long to smith on runscape that would be a pain in the vurtual butt! lol =)

  • That was a fine display of the beauty metal can seize.

  • So THAT'S how they made Madonna's bra.... :P

  • It's amazing how you are talented! A real artist habit by a spirit.......or is it a spirit habit by an artist?

  • Battlestar Fan???

    Nice vid.

  • Thank you so very much. I wish I could be there helping and learning every single step

  • my god what a man. i hope to be as good as you someday. im 16 and have been doing it a few years so i think i have a chance

  • chain mail is easy??? try to di proper chain mail...not those crap from utube...

  • chainmail is alot easier, unless you count the patience(not a problem for me but for some apparently) even expanding and contracting concentric cirles like in coifs or just to make mantls and hauberks fit is masterable by most.

  • the common man is no going to bother wiyh rivets or spot welding each piece. its just for fun mate, like most hobbies.

  • Beautiful work. I look forward to future videos.

  • Oh man... how much work! Respect!

  • Thank you so very much. I wish I could be there helping and learning every single step

  • very nuce...grats....plate is hard to build...chainmail is easy fish

  • Nice once again....When you gonna do a helmet tutorial?

try to do something with out welding so i can do it...

    rivets are fine!!!
