I just came back yesterday from Blau Varadero. What can i say more than AMAZING. The hotel, the room, the food but mostly, my heart goes to my superstars who work there.I will miss them the most. They are the nicest and most genuine people Ive ever known.Will DEFINATLY return to Blau Varadero next year... I heard from other people who were staying at other hotels that it was bad while I told them mine was just unforgetable lol I cant stop thinking about my newly friends who work there.Luv u guys

@ canadacat75: sorry to hear you had such a terrible experience...Cuba is a beautiful place, I went there 2ce and this time returning with my significant other. The people, the atmosphere it's amazing. I haven't seen anyone beaten, ever. I'm sure it happens (as it does here, in Toronto too)

going to the BLAU september 5th...

in my opinion this is the best hotel in varadero...

you will find there a mix of people, 50+ couples, families and solo travelers.

Whoa! That place is off the charts! Where is Blau Varadero located on the Varadero beach strip? Is it at the very end or near where the main discotheque is located at the end of the beach strip? Fyi, I'll be going to for 2 weeks at Cuatro Palmas in June. Can't wait. I miss Varadero after not being there since 2005.

I have been to Cuba 3 times now in the past 8 years and never saw what you have described. I also travelled to many places around the world and feel that Cuba is among the safest countries in the world for the tourists.

Interesting, I don't recall anything like that when I was there, and when I went, it was to meet a friend who is Cuban. We hung out at his home and went all over the island together and again, I saw nothing of what you describe.

Interesting that you don't "sound" Canadian in your writing at all. In fact, your post looks like English would be a second language for you and you don't write like a Francophone either. I think you are Cuban-American posing and trying to hurt the tourist industry...

Stayed here before, it is by far the nicest, cleanest locale in all Veradero! Remember dont be shy to explore the clubs at night, Internacional was awesome we brought our own bottles(4 Peso for Vodka), our animation director made sure we had glasses, Havana Club Buckets full of ice and Red Bull, the other club was La Rumba! Went to others these are the only two I would recommend! Get a scooter maximize your time!!!
