I couldn't agree more with you.

I've seen women wearing sandals and hose in Asia a lot, Japan, many Russians,

Germans not so much honestly in France and Italy where they cringe at the look of hose with sandals. They hate the seams showing, and just the hose in general unless they are older women. Women here in the USA are into high heeled pumps. Sexy, yes. But, it's been proven that high heeled shoes eventually cause damage to a lady's feet, (arches, insoles, toes).
