  • Howd ya do that? Ya kno... play like... good? I cant do that.

  • The sound is so perfect...

  • Late Ozzy Osbourne??

  • what kind of software do u use or equipment to get the PERFECT SOUND!

  • Yup its easy to play like zack wylde. All you got to do is pinch harmonics every second cheezy note.

  • what amp are you using ? ..

  • what amp and effects are you using this sounds amazing

  • those pinches are out of control

  • man, it's in drop C? so when you put G there, it had to be D#.

if you're putting the notes, put it correct, not what would be if it's in standard.

    better put tabs.

  • @dyrendyren It's pretty obvious he's giving the notes relative to a standard tuned guitar. OMG go play the flute

  • @rockstarr469 that's what I said moron. if want to be equal to standard, make a tab. but if you are informing NOTES, you should inform the NOTES that are sounding.

  • Awesome riff love it

  • Jajajajajajajaja! The first comment pissed me off!

  • love the riff and the pinch harmonics! great sound!

  • that tone is killer. loveeeee it

  • needs more pinch harmonics

  • Very nice, is there any way and this might sound stupid but can you do this with a bass?

  • @hyena419

just play the lowest notes...(the lowest notes the guitar plays) and its going to sound fine! just experiment with it.

  • @Riotstarter100 thanks man, and keep playing your goddamn guitar

  • I've never heard a guy playing sweet and clean pinch harmonics on the last string... until now.

  • One of the best pinch harmonic I've ever heard:D

  • what strings do you use ?

  • Hey dude, awesome awesome awesome playing... love that playing style.. i have a question do you play this licks in what tuning ?

    Keep i heavy! Yeah!

  • Pure Energy...

  • BRUTAL!

  • hey guys thanks a lot for this it really helped me. could you tell me what amp you where using? please reply. i subbed :D. thanks again

  • how do you do the G5?

i want to learn how to do it =(

  • @CrazyNachooo It's not about the note, it's a pinch harmonic o squelies and you can do it over any note

  • @tomasignacioo ok thanks i will learn to do it =D

  • Or learned it by ear rather than watching it. But yeah, so thanks again! Rock on!

  • I know what your doing with the riff man, and thank you for the link to learn it, but I have already learned it by watching it. It was not hard at all. Thanks again. :)

  • GENERIC

  • Not bad, but my riffs are WAAAY better. Sorry to disappoint.

  • @adams77ify Let's see some of those riffs then.

  • 0:35 is great, those two short pinched harmonics followed by a longer, slower one...cool.

I see you play the Horizon a lot, do you recommend it?

    Cheers from Germany!

  • Im in Drop A# with my Squier Tele right now :P 9-42's works great :P

  • @ravenshield56: That's gotta be so flappy.

If i was doing that, I'd tune up a half step, play everything in standard F but with inverted power chords.

Crank up the bass on the amp, re-figure out a couple of parts, and you can get a pretty similar sound, minus the low end mush you get when tuning that low.

  • @NotchDeltaSignal Dude its like playing thongs attached xD and The gain just takes over the brightness of the strings, the chords are barely audable :P

  • Please can you explain me how you record the sound?? and how yu make to record the video?? i mean, you edit later and join the sound and the video? please explain me..

  • Can you play it the same way tuned in E (and not drop C)?

  • @DarkWolfArg Can U use the riffs from Master of Puppets for your song? So the answer is a clear no.

  • @Kandurananda asshole,he can use whatever he wants

  • @cromaticas N00b, he can not use whatever he wants. Ever heard of intellectual property?

  • @SanctumZero its not like these riffs are protected by law, fucking idiot.

  • @cromaticas and really?"n00B"?what are you 5?oh nvm,you're retarded.

  • @Kandurananda Replay button is my slave!

  • @Kandurananda I have an example Judas Priest- Painkiller, Kalapács- Bűnöm a rock

  • @Kandurananda Can you send me tabs. Please... :-)

  • @Kandurananda There are only 12 notes on a guitar.. There are thousands and thousands of riffs. There's bound to be a combination of those notes before. Just sayin'.

  • @Kandurananda Your a fucking dick.

  • @Kandurananda but.. the riff sucks.. i dont see the point.-

  • @Kandurananda metallica can use the riff from Tom Sawyer in Welcome Home Sanitarium haha

  • @DarkWolfArg

Actually... If he has not copyrighted it... I'm pretty sure you could.

I doubt he has that one riff copyrighted too.

  • @DarkWolfArg Dude, being in a band and being a gutiarist is all about being original and creating your own stuff. That's the beauty part. But yet, you can still be influenced by certain things, but you have to make it your own. Be unique, be original, and create things using YOUR emotions. That's what music is.

  • @DarkWolfArg you most be very fucking stupid......

  • @Martyfriedman001 Shut the fuck up, i was high and asking that stupid shit....

  • @Martyfriedman001 Must* if you're gonna insult somebody make sure you use the correct grammer XD

  • @iplayguitar4life I'm sry my english is terrible since I'm not english;P

  • I wanted to ask you what strings do you use (Ernie, Elixir, Dean Markley) and the gauge of the strings 0.52? 0.56? really great, love the demonstration

  • Which model of duncan? JB? They are awesome :O

  • All of the notation is wrong...

You're in drop C...an open power chord is not an E... pretty much goes without saying no?

  • @NotchDeltaSignal i agree dude.. i thought i was the only one thinking that. lol. if so, thats the weirdest drop C i have EVER seen. lol

  • @NotchDeltaSignal there is something called transposing.

  • @JonCWmusic: Don get me wrong, I'm being very picky. That kind of thing just isn't helpful when trying to develop an ear for individual notes.

  • anyone got tabs for this?

  • that's Seymour Duncan TB-4 in bridge position, isn't it?

  • Oh dude is there anything that you can't do?

  • which string gauge you use for drop C?

  • is it possible if i have a floyd rose to tune my guitar to drop c with drop c strings because i already tried and it sounded like crap

  • 0 people don't know awesomeness.

  • dude what are you using for amplification? dam that sounds good!

  • superb my friend!!!!!

  • how did you get that tone without using emg'z?

  • this sounds like crown of falsehood :D

  • Im ashamed that guitar hero got me in to rock n roll :(

  • Perfect harmonics ! omg :D

  • Got the same guitar; ESP Horizon FR-II, but I'm considering purchasing a PRS Custom 24 for standard E-tuning and tuning my ESP to drop C or D for live shows. Have you ever tried a Custom 24?

  • Give me that intonation.

  • how do u get ur pinch harmonics to sound like that ? mine are just like a screech

  • dorpped C?

  • @005E500 Yepp :)

  • @Kandurananda since your in drop c wouldnt it be c5 and not e5 for the open power chord?

  • this rhytm is so awesome i cant stop listening to it lool... i like your pinch harmonics they are perfectt... Now we all know that we can do zakk wylde's squealies without EMG pickups... they are seymour duncans right??

  • @stcheeve Yepp :) Thanks, man :)

  • @Kandurananda what model seymoours are those?

  • @stcheeve It's about the vibrato, not the pick-ups anyhow.

  • this rhytm is so awesome i cant stop listening to it lool... i like your pinch harmonics they are perfectt...

  • how do u get consistancy in ur pinch harmonics? mine sometimes work sometimes dont

  • @TheAntman2006 Practice. Before long you wont mess up like ever. Also, each fret will have its hot spot with the picking hand and you have to find it (there are actually multiple hot spots, but each give a different harmonic). But then again, with practice you will find them without "contentiously" trying to find it. It just happens.

  • @Clipster15 Completely agree with you on this matter.

  • @TheAntman2006 I completely agree with Clipster15. Also a finding the right amount of gain helps a lot.

  • Not enough wah to be like zakk. you also need to make his "signature" vibrato and play some easy pentatonic licks. :D

  • @MrEllinaras :P

  • Wow, what a great sound!!!!!! Which distortio, amp and tuning did you use?? About the tuning I think E standard, looking chords, but sound is not the same (in my point of view), GREAT! ;)

  • @pucaccio This is dropped C tuning if I remember it correctly. I used Line 6 UX1: JCM 800 and one of the Line 6 amps... can't remember it exactly. Wait, it was the Spinal Puppet

  • not enough pinch harmonics to be like zakk.

  • @gatta124 You're pretty nuts... :P

  • @Kandurananda haha im kidding. Im just picking because zakk..DOES use alot of pinch harmonics:p

  • wow. pinch harmonics are wylde

  • how is tune?

    Drop D

    or one step down?

  • @baldogarcia Dropped C

  • which are better: emg or dimarzio pickups?

  • @onixtheone There are no "better" pickups. It all depends on your playing style and the music you play. I like both, and I like Duncans, too.

  • @Kandurananda

hey Zsolt, if you dont mind me asking, which pickups are better in your opinion?, the emg 81 and 85 actives on the USA standard horizon or the duncans on your horizon? because im thinking of buying the LTD deluxe H1001FR which has the active emg's or to spend the extra money to get your guitar model with the passive duncan pickups, which has to be imported. its a tough choice but it must be made because I need a shred machine. Thanks from Hawaii :) ......whitelotus808

  • @whitelotus808

oh and by the way, I love your playing and band. both rock.

  • @whitelotus808 Thank you! :)

  • I don't like LTD-s.I tried them and they doesn't have that sophisticated finishing that I require for a "shred machine".BUT,you have to know that in USA the standards of LTD-s are much higher than in Europe. In other words, you might find a very good LTD. I suggest you to try them before you buy one.

I like EMG-s, but they are only for metal. If you intend to play something else as well, like blues, rock, I suggest other pickups. Greetings from Hungary, must be beautiful in Hawaii at the time :D

  • @Kandurananda

thanks for the advice. Ive tried a few, but none with a foyd rose, which is a must for me as I only have a modded stratocaster and a les paul ultra2, so I need a shred/ metal guitar. Im not too big a fan of ibanezes but ive been saving up for a signatue jem (2300$) that ive been watching for a couple of years now. considering that the price has gone up substancially, I have to get a cheaper gutiar like an LTD that can still handle the more intense music as opposed to a strat.

  • @whitelotus808

with a regular trem, 21 frets, and non hi putput pickups, its not really meant for the type of music that I play now. But if I ever do go to europe or japan, ill defineteley purchase a horizonfr2 witht the duncans for an all around versatile guitar.

as for where im located, yeah the weather is fair id say. not the coldest time of year but maybe the sunniest. its been 80 some-odd degrees F in my house now for about a month an itll keep getting hotter until the late fall.

  • @whitelotus808 You should buy them in USA, not in Europe :) The standard for guitars is much higher there and the prices are cheaper!

  • @Kandurananda

great idea. the biggest advantage to getting an esp in said europe or japan, is that they have the passive pickups and that they come in more finish options, grey, sunburst blue etc etc. but im gonna take your word for it and get a usa horizon fr2 for around 1500usd. I just dont like the fact that im gonna have to carry around 9-volt batteries ( for the active pickups) with me when im playing at parties or shows lol. but anyway, thanks for the advice. ill get a usa model now.

  • @whitelotus808 Batteries is these things last a very long time. I have had my guitar for 3 years and have changed batteries 2 times. The second one didn't need it I just made a 24 volt battery and stuck that in there to see how it sounds. If your battery goes dead i would say in less than 4-6 months (if you play a ton) then either you leave your guitar plugged in always or there is something wrong.

  • @frantic29

thanks for the info regarding the batt life..how often do you use your horizon? heavily? because in my les paul ultra, i have to change it in about 3 months after heavy playing, and i mean heavy.....4 hours a day. 5 at most. ive tried emgs before but never owned any so im kind of clueless on how long the duration of the 9 volt is. ill nonetheless buy one regardless of battery life, but if I can get the same results as you have with your guitar, thatll be one pleased asian.

  • @whitelotus808

oh yeah, and zsolt, sorry for filling your page up with a lot of text. go ahead and delete my posts if you think its too crowded.

  • @whitelotus808 Silly :) Actually I enjoy to read remarks and comments :D

  • @Kandurananda

thanks :). And I actually learned this song that you made by ear. its really cool and my friends want me to teach it to them. plus I made s solo to it, so when I get my horizon. ill play it in a video and upload it. this tune is outrageous. of course, my strings fret out and buzz from the CGCFAD duning though.

  • @whitelotus808 Wow, that's great to hear! :) Can't wait to hear it! And just to mention, I had the same buzz problem while recording it :)

  • @whitelotus808 I don't play as much as I used to but at the time I played 3-5 hrs day 5-6 days a week. Literally never even changed the battery when I bought it used. Lasted for about a year. Then I changed it.

Did you have your pickups in your les paul installed aftermarket? It shouldn't matter but I had an explorer that I put these in and that battery would only stay good 6 months tops. I think somehow that makes a difference. Technically it shouldn't but electronics do strange things.

  • @frantic29

thanks for the info. its really good to hear that it lasts that long. my les paul came standard with the active. I use it all of the time for an overdrive for distortion because of the crappy alnico classic in the bridge. The les paul ultra2 comes with this shadowmag pickup in the neck where the 23rd fret would be. its a pup the size of a tiny fret, but it has some serious power. more than the stupid alnico does.

  • @onixtheone so which are better for soloing and rhythm or whats the difference between both?

  • q buen rift... \m/

  • yeeeaaahhhh!!!

  • im debating getting the horizon nt II with the duncans. ye or ne?

  • @RetroBasement I love this instrument. You however should consider what tipe of music do you like to play. If you play rock or classical-neoclassical metal, duncans are ok. If you play something heavyer, you should consider EMG-s, although I like the duncans for heavy music.

  • sounds more like something dethklok would play

  • Using the third finger for the harmonic looks unusual to me;I use my first finger.Great playing none the less.

  • My third finger is the strongest and I can support it with my first and second.

  • I have a Line 6 Pod X3 Live, is there any chance we could get settings for your amp modeling?

Whenever i use the JCM 800, it sounds DECENT but it comes out really muddy even when i back up on the gain.

    Bass: 10

    Mids: 5

    Treble: 6

    Presence: 4

    Too much bass?

  • Yes, if it sounds muddy reduce some bass and see how it sounds.

  • Thanks man. I cranked the treble to 9, left Mids there, took the Drive and Bass down to 7 and it sounds pretty badass.

  • No probs :)

  • amazing sound

is it posssible to make same sound on toneport gx?

are effects, amp models same on all line 6 devices?

  • I've never tryed other line 6 devices for PC, but I think that you actually can deliver the same sound.

  • Really an amazing device! Very good the sound produced, and very well played!

  • You are using the equipment Line 6 Toneport UX 1 interface to the computer, or is directly to your amp?

  • Directly to my PC. No real amp used to produce the sound. But actually I used two sounds, one is with JCM 800 and the other is a Line 6 Spinal Puppet. I combined the two sounds + tuned to drop C. This is the best sound I could get out of the Toneport UX 1. Nowadays I use the Revealver MK III and I use Toneport just as an external soundcard.

  • Hey, live in Brazil, no speak english, you play equipament???????

  • Hi!

ESP Horizon FR II, Line6 Toneport UX 1, that's all.

  • awesome riffage! love how pronounced the pinch harmonics are

  • great
