@rockstarr469 that's what I said moron. if want to be equal to standard, make a tab. but if you are informing NOTES, you should inform the NOTES that are sounding.
I know what your doing with the riff man, and thank you for the link to learn it, but I have already learned it by watching it. It was not hard at all. Thanks again. :)
If i was doing that, I'd tune up a half step, play everything in standard F but with inverted power chords.
Crank up the bass on the amp, re-figure out a couple of parts, and you can get a pretty similar sound, minus the low end mush you get when tuning that low.
@NotchDeltaSignal Dude its like playing thongs attached xD and The gain just takes over the brightness of the strings, the chords are barely audable :P
Please can you explain me how you record the sound?? and how yu make to record the video?? i mean, you edit later and join the sound and the video? please explain me..
@Kandurananda There are only 12 notes on a guitar.. There are thousands and thousands of riffs. There's bound to be a combination of those notes before. Just sayin'.
@DarkWolfArg Dude, being in a band and being a gutiarist is all about being original and creating your own stuff. That's the beauty part. But yet, you can still be influenced by certain things, but you have to make it your own. Be unique, be original, and create things using YOUR emotions. That's what music is.
I wanted to ask you what strings do you use (Ernie, Elixir, Dean Markley) and the gauge of the strings 0.52? 0.56? really great, love the demonstration
Got the same guitar; ESP Horizon FR-II, but I'm considering purchasing a PRS Custom 24 for standard E-tuning and tuning my ESP to drop C or D for live shows. Have you ever tried a Custom 24?
this rhytm is so awesome i cant stop listening to it lool... i like your pinch harmonics they are perfectt... Now we all know that we can do zakk wylde's squealies without EMG pickups... they are seymour duncans right??
@TheAntman2006 Practice. Before long you wont mess up like ever. Also, each fret will have its hot spot with the picking hand and you have to find it (there are actually multiple hot spots, but each give a different harmonic). But then again, with practice you will find them without "contentiously" trying to find it. It just happens.
Wow, what a great sound!!!!!! Which distortio, amp and tuning did you use?? About the tuning I think E standard, looking chords, but sound is not the same (in my point of view), GREAT! ;)
@pucaccio This is dropped C tuning if I remember it correctly. I used Line 6 UX1: JCM 800 and one of the Line 6 amps... can't remember it exactly. Wait, it was the Spinal Puppet
hey Zsolt, if you dont mind me asking, which pickups are better in your opinion?, the emg 81 and 85 actives on the USA standard horizon or the duncans on your horizon? because im thinking of buying the LTD deluxe H1001FR which has the active emg's or to spend the extra money to get your guitar model with the passive duncan pickups, which has to be imported. its a tough choice but it must be made because I need a shred machine. Thanks from Hawaii :) ......whitelotus808
I don't like LTD-s.I tried them and they doesn't have that sophisticated finishing that I require for a "shred machine".BUT,you have to know that in USA the standards of LTD-s are much higher than in Europe. In other words, you might find a very good LTD. I suggest you to try them before you buy one.
I like EMG-s, but they are only for metal. If you intend to play something else as well, like blues, rock, I suggest other pickups. Greetings from Hungary, must be beautiful in Hawaii at the time :D
thanks for the advice. Ive tried a few, but none with a foyd rose, which is a must for me as I only have a modded stratocaster and a les paul ultra2, so I need a shred/ metal guitar. Im not too big a fan of ibanezes but ive been saving up for a signatue jem (2300$) that ive been watching for a couple of years now. considering that the price has gone up substancially, I have to get a cheaper gutiar like an LTD that can still handle the more intense music as opposed to a strat.
with a regular trem, 21 frets, and non hi putput pickups, its not really meant for the type of music that I play now. But if I ever do go to europe or japan, ill defineteley purchase a horizonfr2 witht the duncans for an all around versatile guitar.
as for where im located, yeah the weather is fair id say. not the coldest time of year but maybe the sunniest. its been 80 some-odd degrees F in my house now for about a month an itll keep getting hotter until the late fall.
great idea. the biggest advantage to getting an esp in said europe or japan, is that they have the passive pickups and that they come in more finish options, grey, sunburst blue etc etc. but im gonna take your word for it and get a usa horizon fr2 for around 1500usd. I just dont like the fact that im gonna have to carry around 9-volt batteries ( for the active pickups) with me when im playing at parties or shows lol. but anyway, thanks for the advice. ill get a usa model now.
@whitelotus808 Batteries is these things last a very long time. I have had my guitar for 3 years and have changed batteries 2 times. The second one didn't need it I just made a 24 volt battery and stuck that in there to see how it sounds. If your battery goes dead i would say in less than 4-6 months (if you play a ton) then either you leave your guitar plugged in always or there is something wrong.
thanks for the info regarding the batt life..how often do you use your horizon? heavily? because in my les paul ultra, i have to change it in about 3 months after heavy playing, and i mean heavy.....4 hours a day. 5 at most. ive tried emgs before but never owned any so im kind of clueless on how long the duration of the 9 volt is. ill nonetheless buy one regardless of battery life, but if I can get the same results as you have with your guitar, thatll be one pleased asian.
thanks :). And I actually learned this song that you made by ear. its really cool and my friends want me to teach it to them. plus I made s solo to it, so when I get my horizon. ill play it in a video and upload it. this tune is outrageous. of course, my strings fret out and buzz from the CGCFAD duning though.
@whitelotus808 I don't play as much as I used to but at the time I played 3-5 hrs day 5-6 days a week. Literally never even changed the battery when I bought it used. Lasted for about a year. Then I changed it.
Did you have your pickups in your les paul installed aftermarket? It shouldn't matter but I had an explorer that I put these in and that battery would only stay good 6 months tops. I think somehow that makes a difference. Technically it shouldn't but electronics do strange things.
thanks for the info. its really good to hear that it lasts that long. my les paul came standard with the active. I use it all of the time for an overdrive for distortion because of the crappy alnico classic in the bridge. The les paul ultra2 comes with this shadowmag pickup in the neck where the 23rd fret would be. its a pup the size of a tiny fret, but it has some serious power. more than the stupid alnico does.
@RetroBasement I love this instrument. You however should consider what tipe of music do you like to play. If you play rock or classical-neoclassical metal, duncans are ok. If you play something heavyer, you should consider EMG-s, although I like the duncans for heavy music.
