i'm sorry, but i don't know a whole lot about matthew good, and the singer ruined the song for me. i heard it on the radio and thought "wow great melody, love the piano, love the subtle guitar" but the second i heard him singing i was disappointed. personal opinion, too many songs are ruined by people who can't sing but are too stubborn to let someone else sing it. but that's just me.

I highly doubt that Matthew Good will ever receive the credit he deserves this album certainly is a winner in my point of view however albums such as Hospital Music, White Light Rock and Roll Review and the Audio of Being sucked I can only hope Matthew Good continues to create great albums such as this and continue to remain original.

Nice to know theres more to Canadian music than Rush, Bryan Adams, and Celine Dion.

I hate how a great artist like Matthew Good puts out great music like this and it rarely gets any radio airplay, and sellout bands like Nickelback recycle the same generic songs and gets constant radio airplay. Kind of hilarious that a song about the self-destructive nature of North American consumerism and apathy has prompted so many responses that boil down to "Canada is the gr8est country in history fuck ya canadaaaa bitchezzzzzzz!1!" Have you even listened to the song?
I'm pretty sure the line, "Ain't it good to be back home?" is supposed to be bittersweet. I think it's about having to reconcile your nostalgic feelings for "home" with a more adult understanding of how flawed "home" really is.

I highly doubt that Matthew Good will ever receive the credit he deserves this album certainly is a winner in my point of view however albums such as Hospital Music, White Light Rock and Roll Review and the Audio of Being sucked I can only hope Matthew Good continues to create great albums such as this and continue to remain original.

I believe it is easiest to understand what drives the music industry to distribute crap if you consider that most people are easily influenced and are too lazy to look further than mainstream to find alternate music. It is our job to educate the masses, send some MGB youtube links to your friends instead of complaining.

I am fortunate to be one of the few states side who live close enough to get Canadian radio of I would have never discovered Matt Good, Matt Mays & El Torpedo, Junkhouse, Stabilo, Sam Roberts, 54-40, The Stills, BIlly Talent, The Trews, among others. Nice to know theres more to Canadian music than Rush, Bryan Adams, and Celine Dion.

People from Vancouver knows where he came from and how he and the Mathew Good Band were on the rise and once they were getting there recognition outside Canada especially in the States that's when they split up. Too bad... Oh well Vancouver and Canada's treat just like the Tragically Hip. Cheers to 99.3 Cfox in Vancouver for playing all of his new hits that keeps coming.

Nevermind this song, this one and every other track on this album are amazing. This album is one of a few for me that I would call a masterpiece. On par with Ok! Computer and The Wall for delivirng such a complete work, even in it's title. Lol, I don't know how to explain it, but this album feels like the west coast of Canada.

Great Britian ( Kingdom of Scotland, Manx etc), China ( tibet, taiwanese), Brazil (Aztec), Russia (Eurasian nomaic), Iceland (Inuit peoples), Sweden/Norway/Finland (from the Soumi), hell even most of africa has been a constant ebb & flow of tribal warfare. Matthew has never been much of a patriot from what I've read. Not to say hes anti-Canadian, but he's definitely written about the dangers of blind patriotism.

I hate how a great artist like Matthew Good puts out great music like this and it rarely gets any radio airplay, and sellout bands like Nickelback recycle the same generic songs and gets constant radio airplay. It just irritates me. Hopefully one day Matthew Good will get the large recognition he deserves.

Well...to be honest...I didnt like the Album 'Vancouver' that much....but for example White Light Rock And Roll Review and the audio of Being I really liked a lot....the other albums I still havent listened to yet....they are next on my list ! :)
