  • This movie was awsome if you think it sucks ....your life must...hater

  • look at this poor man's Alec Baldwin scene from Glengarry Glen Ross

  • affleck for life!!!

  • My fav is the beginning Ben looks at him for a sec..."Get the fuck outta here. Don't look at me just pick your ass up out of that Italian leather chair & get the FUCK outta this room, right now"

  • 51 people don't have smiles on their faces.

  • That's it skippy. Pack your shit, let's go!

  • "You white? Then you Ben Affleck."

  • 2:40 Did i just saw Malfoy working for muggles?

  • This movie kind of sucked...

  • "But if you really want this, you call me on Monday and we'll talk. Just don't waste my fucking time. Okay, that's it."

  • The guy who called that one dude a "dumbass" and got kicked out was such an idiot. Way to lose out on making some millions. You keep your mouth shut until you get a decent feel for the environment before you say some impulsive shit like that, and Ben Affleck said don't even look at me just gtfo LMFAO...

  • Just like another poster have said, different times and different generation.

Baldwins speech was very demoralizing, it sort of kills the drive to do better.

    Ben's speech is major hype.

Hyping up employees is better than killing morale.

  • im a fugging millionaire i luv this!

  • 2.40 looks like draco malfoy from harry potter (the blonde one) ??

  • Ben Affleck doesn't age

  • Affleck is Baldwins biatch!!!!

  • Fuck You mom and dad!

  • schlep-rock and skippy...lol.

Seriously, Afleck's monologue is not the same as Baldwin's but it holds its own.

To me, Afleck would have been more motivating than Baldwin's who was simply humiliating. Afleck pumped them up.

    "Imagine saying i'm a f-cking millionaire".

"See how it feels when you're making their Lexus payments"

    That's serious hype.

  • Pitty for you working in boiler rooms everyone hangs up on telemarketers

  • 46 people get bent over by a fat boss and take it in the ass because they are not winners, but pikers

  • i work for a real life boiler room. we have quotes from this movie posted all over the office. they laugh and joke about it being a boiler room but it really is the dark dirty side of telemarketing.

  • Go watch nacho libre

  • A - Always B - Be C - Copying Glengarry Glenross

  • @RIBASAROUS Clever

  • thats it skippy, pack your shit. lets go.

  • Comment removed

  • Let's not forget how the screenplay is lamely based off "Liars Poker".

Damn, Affleck's delivery is embarrassingly bad.

  • "You white, then you Ben Affleck!" by Ronnie :D

  • 45 people passed the series 7 exam and are mad.

  • i just cant take affleck seriously at all.

    absolutely horrible casting.

  • Not enough charisma in Ben here, lol. Not a role for him. He's a decent director, though.

  • were not savin the fuckin manatees here guys...

  • "Your name Ben Affleck?"

"You call yourself an actor, you sonnuvabitch?"

  • @Romansteel13 ahahhahahaha.

  • ...but if you relly want this, then call me on monday and we'll talk. Just don't waste my fucking time!

  • im a stockbroker

cant wait to become a MILLIONAIRE :)

  • Let me put it simply: If the movie Glengarry Glen Ross is admired for it's Shakespearean prowess, this movie is pure gonzo.

I worked for a pyramid-scheme telemarketing corporation similar to this when I was young and naive, and Ben Affleck's take on this role is way more believable. My managers never spoke like Alec Baldwin; like a thespian. They spoke like Ben Affleck, a normal hot-headed guy who thinks he's great cause he's rich. It was always: I'm fuckin rich, bitches love me, etc.

  • lol he calls one guy skippy and another a shlepprock...lol classic

  • i understand that this isnt glen garry glen ross, but this isnt even CLOSE to the believability alec baldwins speech

  • This movie borrowed a lot from Wall Street. There is a scene where they are watching it and quoting it word for word. This scene was patterned after Glengarry Glen Ross. Movies borrow from other movies all the time. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this movie a lot and found it to be entertaining.

  • pyro :D

  • Press "3" : "You will make you first million; within 3 years"

  • I AM FUCKING MILLIONAIRE! He's such a douche in this scene but still awesome

  • Just as it happens in the movie, if there's real money involved, no one would be selling how much money there is. Only a young guy falls for that trick, if you're 30 and you happen hear that, you'd immediately know you are being conned.

  • Why is this scene considered legendary? I just don't get it. This can't hold a candle to Glengarry Glen Ross.

  • @jasmmmm

"See how it feels when you're making their fucking Lexus payments"

  • @jasmmmm Why does it have to hold a candle to anything? Why does it have to be compared to somethin else? It's nothing more than a great scene from a great movie......piss off

  • @johnnynitetrain Fuck YOU. He didn't provoke you in any way, he was just asking a very legit question. Some people consider this scene legendary, he does not agree. That's cool. I personally consider this to be a weak knock-off of Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glenn Ross, a far superior movie. Personally, I don't buy Affleck as a slimy greaseball, Baldwin did it better.

  • @HarpoTheVillain baldwin was amazing in glengarry. affleck is good, but i agree, he's too much of a pretty boy to completely pull off that gordon gekko slimeball look

  • @Omarkhan77 that should tell you something about Glengarry Glen Ross when Alec Baldwin is the only thing people remember about the entire movie and he had one scene in it....HELLLLLOOOOO?!?!?!?!?! LOSERS

  • @HarpoTheVillain who the fuck asked you HarpoThe Douche? I didn't call it legendary. I just said it was a good scene. And that's your problem if you don't "buy" Affleck as a slimeball. Obviously everyone else did because critics praised him in this role. That's why YOU ARE NOT a movie critic.....As the kid in this scene says: "pssshhhh, fuckin dumbass"

  • @johnnynitetrain Did they really? Affleck had two scenes in the thing, and he never comes close to, for example, Alec Baldwin being a slimebag in Glengarry Glen Ross, which this movie absolutely tries to emulate. Affleck is a decent actor, but he does NOT come off as a plausible villain in here. He's too much of a good guy. This is a forgotten film that will sink into oblivion soon enough.

And remember. The kid in the scene calling dumbass got the boot. Be careful.

  • @johnnynitetrain Great scene? Uh, no. Great movie? Definitely not.

There's a reason why Glengarry Glen Ross is held in such high esteem, and Boiler Room is not.

  • @jasmmmm Fuck Glengarry Glen Ross. And fuck you too

  • that's funny, imdb.com gave Glengarry Glen Ross a 7.9 and Boiler Room a 6.9 and that's out of 10. So, Boiler Room obviously wasn't panned by critics. Only by some douche like you. And the movies are completely different. So quit tryin to compare the two. And who considered the scene "legendary"? Not me. It's just a good scene in which Ben Affleck received much praise and accolades for. So go slob on Alec Baldwin's nutsack

  • @jasmmmm and oh, by the way, tubub has received 26 thumbs up for his "legendary" comment and you, my friend have received 2. That's what I thought

  • @johnnynitetrain And Britney Spears sells millions of albums while Machine Head sells thousands. Being popular doesn't make you right or good.

  • i prefer alec's glengarry speech

  • Weak performance

  • 45 people dont have money

  • best part

  • This movie should've never been released knowing it was SO WEAK. The producers were so desperate to reach the HIGH INTENSITY LEVEL of GlenGaryGlenRoss and Wall Street they had to end up quoting them! I don't blame the actors, I blame the producers, screenwriters and directors for not trying hard enough.

  • This scene inspires the fuck out of me

  • @hustlingwithme It means he has zero debt.

  • I've never seen so underrated movie...This deserves to make at least 400 milions...This world is retarded. If you wanna make good movie don't expect much money but if you want some stupid shit like PoC or Transformers then you will have alot of money and the movie 3/10

  • awesome scene lol

  • "they say money cant buy happiness, lookit the FUCKING smile on my face"

    lmaooo

  • This movie was such a wannabe "Glengarry Glen Ross"

  • @hustlingwithme -- he is referring to his assets ... being 'liquid' means he has no debts, essentially owns everything with no credit payments

  • Apple does group interviews... and usually it's just two hours of ass kissing.

  • Even McDonalds doesn't have group interviews

  • Awesome movie. Don't know how many times I've watched it.

  • They still do the same....they got many offices in eastern Europe and do same good work...Well done to the plp that made this system

  • Awesome. Glen Gary, Glen ross is the original though. Aflec did good.

  • @sachincmrit...JPM Technical analyst sounded like an analyst that covers technology stocks. So your a computer technician and operating system specialist? Good job. You must be smart. I'll bet you had fun fixing XP and Vista problems. LOL

  • Real Boiler Rooms are pretty much just like this movie portrays. The bridge financing, bogus partners and a sales team that does nothing, but sell the Boiler Room's bogus shares. They get anywhere from .25 cents to 5 a share for every share they sell. Depends on the price of the stock and what mode of desperation they are in. Plus they Short Sell their stock and make double!

  • The Boiler Room movie? Yeah...It's cool. 3 stars. Buy the DVD.

  • Happy for you @sachincmrit. That JPM job pays what $150K? Plus perks, options and bonuses right? You gotta sell your ass off though don't you? Just curious. Do they pay you guys to bash stocks on big site message boards on the side? I've been trading for 22 years. I like picking stock winners for myself. Make my own hours.

  • @Boogyman4050 :) i'm not a stock broker, i solve PC issues of JP morgan's employee's through calls........ :)

  • @sachincmrit that's funny 'cause Technical Analyst to me sounds like, uh, a Technical Analyst... you know, like someone who analyses price charts using technical analysis? ... lol

  • 23 JUNE ,,,,,HEY I GOT SELECTED FOR "JP MORGAN CHASE" AS TECHNICAL ANALYST... IM A HUGE FAN OF THIS MOVIE... I JUST WANTED TO SHARE IT,, :)

,,SERIOUSLY; KILLER SALES LESSONS IN THIS MOVIE,

  • The same shitty atmosphere at Marcus Evans Group. However, the same tricks , scams, frauds, fake names , lies, low salaries, can be fired any time, fucking greed etc.....

  • lol @ truthisauthority most jobs that have Group interview are actually very legit because they usually require your to endure multiple rounds of interviewing. It's obvious to me now that if you even work you probably work at a gas station where they interview you alone.

  • You think im f@cking with you?! iam not f@cking you..Get the real thing Glengarry.

Alex Baldwin kicks ass..This is a weak imitation!

  • This movie is sooo tense. =O

  • @IlungaMalanda u bet wrong. I bet you have no clue that your country is being raped by international banksters, and your mainstream media is totally hiding this fact from you, while you spend all your time buying useless "bling bling" and cheering for meaningless sporting events. They really have your mind enslaved don't they? Do yourself a favor, just nod and say yes.

  • I had a group interview at a new hedge fund that went almost EXACTLY like this. The office was still under construction, the guy came in and started acting like the biggest douche on the planet. Told us how much money he had, where his vacation homes were, and what car he drove. Then he asked what licenses everybody had, and he kicked a 50 year old guy who had almost every finance series license out of the room. I started laughing and left. Damon Vickers is the douchebag's name lol google him

  • "Whoever says money is the root of all evil doesn't have any"

    VVV

  • no wonder America is now broke. Because of GREED, all your wealth is in the hands of a few Wall Street douche bags. Too bad they can't take that money with them WHEN they die.

  • not sure why it's called a group interview since interviews are 2-way conversations (@truthisauthority) but regardless of all of the classic movies that have preceded this one, this IS a classic scene and I wouldn't compare it to any other monologue; he's not trying to be better or similar to alec baldwin in glengarry glen ross... same premise but different context

  • That junior couldn't close a deal.

  • This scene is fucking legendary no matter what all these douche bags think.

  • @tubub Can't compete with Glengarry Glen Ross...

  • @ArthurBarnesJr

IT can though. I introduced this movie to my friends, and they were ecstatic about it and wouldn't shutup for weeks. Glengarry Glen Ross is good, but it's missing the youthful aspect and generation X references. While all my friends and me are millennials, we could relate much more with characters and references in Boiler Room than in Glengarry Glen Ross.

Both are good, but they're also different

  • HAH Cocky douche "I have a series 7 license" like he's hot shit. "Good for you..You can get out of here too".

  • @seebz10

cocky, but not a douche. He's making sale kiddo, welcome to the real world. In the real world, you gotta be cocky once in a while to establish a presence

  • @tubub First off don't call me kiddo just because I'm 2 years younger than you. I was simply commenting on this scene and how funny it was. I've been working in the corporate real world for almost a year and being cocky only gets your managers hating you and your co-workers not wanting to help you out. Personality along with a strong work ethic will get you farther in the working world. Maybe brokers need to be but I have never nor will never deal with a human broker, only electronic ones.

  • Alec Baldwin would have rocked this scene!!

  • That's it, Skippy. Pack your shit, let's go

  • A good summary of the sickness of Capitalism....

  • I try to imagine Al Pacino delivering the same lines>>> so much more epic in my head.

  • This is great writing.....Ben did OK with it.

  • Great performance, but bad sound!

  • Mr. Affleck, you know what it takes to be a real actor? It takes brass balls to be a real actor.

  • @kittycatcarley It's a reference to Alec Baldwin's monologue in Glengarry Glen Ross. Affleck pretty much blows hippo ass compared to Baldwin.

  • @barakisapussy Ah, thanks, lol. I've never seen that but now I'm gonna check it out :)

  • so these guys arent unionized because the job is "critical"... how come our government officials are? how come our lazy fat teachers are? .. America.. REVOLT!!!!

  • i watch this everday before i start my day. now thats life

  • The interesting thing about this scene is how it shows the effect of "Glengarry Glen Ross". Some people these days look to Alec Baldwin's character Blake for speech ideas, and Affleck's character shows that kind of person impeccably.

  • He ain't no Alec but he's got something.

  • @Raymint What's Alec Baldwin got to do with this?

  • @Zeanu ... Glengarry Glen Ross?

  • @Raymint Yes but he's not IN this movie, now is he. It's like you're about to compare The Matrix with Equilibrium. "Well it's not Neo... but blah di blah."

  • @Zeanu Sorry, Ben Affleck, I just said what immediately came to mind. With a scene like this, you can only really compare it to 'Glengarry Glen Ross' ... as there's not much to it other than being like that scene out of 'Glengarry Glen Ross'.

  • 39 pikers can get the FUCK out of this room right now!

  • Look at the FUCKING smile on my face!

  • i am fucking millionaire 1:42

  • This is one of those moments where Ben Affleck's acting impresses me.

  • Become an employee of this firm and you will make your first million within three years!!! If this video is not motivation, what is?

  • get the fuck out of here. dont talk to me, dont look at me, just pick your ass up out of that italian leather chair and get the FUCK out of this room right now... hahaha

  • I like the term SleptRock...hahahahahaahhhahaahahaha....who came up with that one hahahahhahaaha.....you think I'm joking I am not joking....Ben

  • this is such a rip off of alec baldawn in glengarry glen ross i cant stand it

  • @purpleinwisconsin Seriously, then stop crying and stop watching it. It's similar, but not the same. The content is different. This is about stock brokers, that was about real estate agents.

  • @purpleinwisconsin that doesnt mean its not awesome. i mean you are here on youtube watching it arent you?

  • @purpleinwisconsin

The, just like Aflleck says, get the fuck out of here!

  • see how it feels when your making there fucking lexus payments

  • this scene made the film

  • They say money can't buy happiness well look at the fucking smile on my face!

  • @filleboy1 ear to ear baby

  • @truthisauthority its only bullshit if your a failure at life like yourself and can't do your job. im gonna go out on a limb here and guess that you work next to people who do your job half as good as you and get paid the same as them. chump.

  • @Truthisauthority so fuckin true

  • Hands signs at 3:01 DEVIL

  • Comment removed

  • "see how it feels when you're makin' their fuckin lexus payments" - classic.

  • is this a movie or tv show?

  • @msfootball66 Movie

  • series 7 exam?? is that supposed to be impressive? 63 & 7 are so simple it's a joke. try spectral analysis in time series analysis for a challenge.

  • Fuck why have I been in retail for the past 13 years!

  • It's no Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross, but it's a good scene. I think it may have been trying to hard to be that scene, in fact it's very comparable to it.

  • @1by1illknockuout Almost word for word Robert Ebert's exact statements. Well done.

  • This is great scene. There is nothing better then group interview. That way you get rid off lazy ass people and people who are passive.

  • @LawrenceLugar1 I agree 100%. This is a good film with alot of good scenes. But Wall Street from 1987 is in my top 10 of all-time.

  • Ben A. cannot act at all haha

  • Oh god,-_- I HATE guys like him and I hate firms like that.

    (Good acting Ben)

  • thats it skippy pack your shit! lol

  • just amazing!

  • I remember when I went to work at Phil Long Ford there was a Russian prick manger named Dimitri Yakacaca or some shit like that and he was telling us " I have all kinds of sick toys" kind of like his own little rendition of this scene lol what a douche canoe!

  • Comment removed

  • That's it skippy, pack your shit - let's go!

    LOOOOOOL!

  • "i have a series 7 license, you see the nose on that jew fucker? "

  • @cbarrett34 They should have gassed his grandmother in 1942.

  • I'm so glad i'm a event salesman, and not a telemarketer..

  • I love this movie. Back when DVD players were emerging and VHS was going away. I made sure this was the first DVD I ever owned in my life. There are so many memorable scenes in this movie. Awesome lines, hilarious lines, and good stuff to reflect back on when you’ve had a crappy day at work. "See how it feels, when you're making their f*cking Lexus payments!!!" --- love it!!! :D

  • Ben is a good actor he gets a lot of (Flack) no pun intended. But BEN does gets A lot of Flack. lol

I think this monologue along with Chasing amy , in the car (i love you scene) are nothing short of Brilliant

  • You can pretty much assume your job is bullshit if you do a group interview.

  • @Truthisauthority I was thinking the same thing (been there, done that).

  • @Truthisauthority Actually i disagree.

  • @Truthisauthority Disneyland does group interviews, seems legit to me.

  • @multitasker235 Yeah, but Disneyland doesn't pay their employees on a commission basis. Funny thing, back in '95, I was on my way to interview for a summer job at Disneyland on a Saturday. It was hot, and my piece of shit car's A/C didn't work, and there was heavy traffic. I finally arrived late and very sweaty. Needless to say, I turned right back around and went home, without showing up for the interview.

  • @Truthisauthority

False. It's routine in companies early days to have group interviews because they don't have the time/staff to interview each person individually. I know Facebook did it early on and I wouldn't be one bit surprised if Google or Microsoft had group interviews as well... think if you walked out of those? hahah you would've lost at that deal for sure. It's a case-by-case basis

  • @Truthisauthority its not really the case in this film, but some jobs that involve working in teams or groups will have a group interview maybe in the first round of interviews, and have the attendee's work together in a problem-solving environment.
