Stunt bikes don't have a throttle lock.. They use the idle adjuster to idle the bike up for certain stunts, to keep the bike at a set speed.. For no handed wheelies, etc.. It's so when you let off the gas, the bike doesn't go to a normal idle where there's no torque being made.

@97warrior350 I don't disbelieve you, I've owned a half dozen bikes but nobody was really "stunting" back then (80s, last was an FJ11) outside of jumping when surfaces and objects permit- but isn't it kind of awkward to dick around with idle screws on a carb stack with gloved hands? Is the idle adjust on today's bikes easy and precise to adjust while in the saddle?

@batvette Yeah, Im friends with quite a few stunters, and the idle adjustments are normally openly available. if they aren't, the stunt guys will move them to where they can get to them. only available on carbeurated bikes to my knowledge however. my 99 Yamaha R6 had the adjustment by my right knee.

@batvette lol yeah. if you take a look at the newer carbed bikes, the idle adjustment screw is easily turned by a gloved hand.. i had to adjust mine from time to time due to weather changes. very simple and easy to get to. as i stated before, the riders typically move them outside of the frame so that they're that much easier to get ahold of.

stunt bikes idle at high rpms so that u can do stunts smoother and when u stand on it the bike doesnt slow down just keeps it for u while u stand on the tank :D usually idle is set at 3500rpms

I think more proper than either would be leash. dead mans switch is the name of what its hooked to. wiki has a whole article on dead mans switch, tells all the applications they are used in. Curiously did not mention "doing stupid shit on motorcycles".
